While I completely agree with you. I also understand why some do it. I still disagree with it.

But the added paperwork for garnishments, child support, etc can add up.

Miss a few and the employee can prove you withheld it. Trouble with a capital T.

Yup it means just the opposite in my view. When someone is in debt and seeking employment they are trying to dig out not in.

That's not how the companies look at and that's why we disagree so much.

In California employers are only really allowed to do a credit check if you will be handling money, issued a company credit card, or have access to financial information.

Things like hair follicle testing goes above and beyond the requirements of the DOT drug testing mandate.

Employers who require hair follicle tests are protecting their best interests.

Employers who require credit checks are protecting their best interests.

Vinsanity the thing is smoking pot or taking any of the drugs that are considered illegal by the Federal Government is ILLEGAL. The only exception is those that are TRADITIONALLY prescribed by a MD. Dope is not considered to have any medicinal value by the Feds.

And you've NEVER done anything illegal, right? Never went even a mile over the speed limit?

When they have been clean for a year or 2, then I will lighten up. at 30 or 90 days, they are just looking to get the test out of the way and then go back to toking it up. Hoping they won't get retested.

    Gizmo_Man Thanks this.

With me, this problem started in California with the gasoline companies. So either you're wrong or they are.

    LMAO

What's this say about how they view the Constitution? As many think it is of no value to a free society.
