Hook a 102 inch peace of wire to the ground side of the antenna at the antenna base then check your SWR again ...

Well said brother...well said. He tries too hard to sell us all on the Ham thing I will get a license someday but in my own time...don't need it shoved in my face with every post. It just looks boring to sit home and talk on a radio when I could pick up the phone and call someone in England if I wanted to also. It's about being on the road talking to other drivers,having fun not sitting staring at the wall and talking about cutting my grass. I've heard the conversations on thier bands it's a bore-fest 9 out of 10 times. I want to shoot myself ugh. Hello I'm in Spain where are you? Hi I'm in Japan hello. Here's an example I invited Bruce out when i was in Sarasota for some drinks...what better way to extend the olive branch while having drinks and getting some table dances from naked women at Cheetaa's. He didn't come but it was last minute so that's understandable but I'll be down there again in the fall so who knows? He might come next time
