    LATE BREAKING: According to scanner traffic, a tractor trailer has hit a pedestrian on I-55 at mile marker 92. Police are closing the Northbound lane of 55 and redirecting traffic to Highway 74. Go to kfvs12.com and tune into Heartland News at noon for details.

    Your Welcome. I happened to see that come up on my facebook page and thought I would get it posted on here.
    I went to the website and it actually happened at mile marker 91.6
    I will check out the website again at noon and post whatever information they may have at that time.

    CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -
    The south bound lanes of Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau are shut down right now after a semi-truck versus pedestrian crash.

    According to Cape Girardeau Police, the crash happened just after 9:00 this morning near the 92 mile marker. Sergeant Jason Selzer said the pedestrian has serious injuries. That person was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

    Selzer said the south bound lanes could be closed for up to two hours.

    Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.

    You know your having a bad day when you try to kill yourself twice in one day and cant succeed at it. But then again...maybe its a sign that it just was'nt his time to go. Maybe now he will have a different outlook on life. Poor guy.
