Do you get Nickel and Dimed?

Yeah, I do the same. If I can overcome a criminal record, and find a job, then most of the bums can to the same. I work, and have worked too hard to give my money away to those that are lazy. Too bad liberals see it completely different.

 

You know I have acualy heard this one before. Before I was a driver myself I would ride with my dad during the summer sometimes. We where in FL and had a delivery out in nowheresville that morning. Me and him could have done the work, but it would have been harder then normal. So he tells this guy who was begging for the same exact thing that he would help him out. The guy just had to help us unload and we would pay for his time working and give him a ride up to SC. So the guy made a hudred bucks and got a ride to SC.

I was pissed at my dad for picking up a stranger, but he said there was two of us and one of him.

My favorite beggers where in the south right after Katrina, You just heard some great stories then. My favorite was when I was at a truck stop, and there where a few people begging. I dont remember the sappy story just they did not have a job anymore and the house was gone, and they just needed money for food. However going inside the truck stop to eat, The restaraunt was no longer serving stuff off the menu only stuff off the buffet becouse they did not have the staff to do it all. The next day I eat at the fast food nextdoor and they too are having stff problems. But there are just a ton of people outside begging.

I am defenatly going to use the I only use credit cards these days dont have any cash excuse.

 

I love Florida. Wish I had an intrastate job their lol

Had a kid (maybe 19) come up to me one time in Texas while I was parked. Trying to get back to Kansas. Offered to sweep out my trailer or wash windows. Hadnt eaten in a while been stranded there. Gave him 5 bucks and a bottle of water. A little later I went into the truck stop lounge and there he was with his sandwich he bought and the bottle of water I gave him. Guess I made the right decision.

 

I hardly ever see them at truckstops, only at the get on and off ramps, probably afraid someone will ask them to do windows. LOL

 

Had a young couple ask me for a ride last week in Midland. They were going West and I was going East. If I was going in the same direction, Not sure if I would've given em a lift.....Just too many psychopath's out there riuning it for the normal people

 

Its a lot simpler to give them a handfull of leftover change. Even if this helps out 1 out of 10 people its worth it for about $20.
