I would think any of the threads about Roehl would be a better place to get info on them.

A quick update for anyone interested: have been driving driving driving. I think I've logged 960 miles and have two weeks left. (aren't y'all laughing at my 960??!!) Have my pretrip down pat. Whew! Found out today that the state is coming to test the testers. Yay. Anyway, feeling good about my progress. One student who rides in our truck just can't seem to get it and I feel so bad for him. I'm an obnoxious cheerleader and truly want all of us to do well! I'm hoping soon it will just click for him. As for me, its getting down to the wire about which companies I want to apply with and I'll tell you, it's making me get an ulcer I think!! I so want to make the right decision but really think I can't because I'm not informed enough. So I kinda have all my eggs in one basket right now and if that doesn't pan out, I don't know where I'm going. I DO NOT like not being prepared. I know I probably need to relax. Tell me what y'all think. I should have been applying and have been accepted by now? Two weeks left of school? Or do I need to relax?

Heed the advice of Giggles and just be yourself. Don't let the job change take you out of character. At the end of the day,you must still be wholly satisfied with yourself knowing you've done your best to take steps to pursue your passion for this industry.Be patient and confident knowing that Rome wasn't built in a day. It's a learning process not much different, I guess, from your previous job. There will be times when you hate it and times when you love it.By the way,we(women) have been out here for quite some time but never desired or felt the need to be as vocal as our counterparts(LOL). I have over 30 yrs, millions of safe driving miles, more friends with "handles" than I can remember, and matching top dollar moolah just like my male counterparts. That said...hang in there, keep YOURSELF safe(the freight has more insurance on it than you do)and welcome to my world.

time behind the wheel is inportant but to me driving is the easy part. ;earning to manage your hours with shippers and recievers company paper work etc are all harder. Don't expect too much from your first company other then to build your resume so you can say i have a year under my belt and have driven in the hills rain wind snow. until you get that time you wont even know the questions to ask to pick the company or type of trucking job that fits you. of course you do have to apply some places to get accepted and move on :)

if you havent already, go to http://www.tatravelcenters.com/ and fill out the info for a loyalty card. it takes like 4 weeks to get, and you'll want to use it for points/showers. pilot/flying j will have a kiosk in the store that gives you the card right away. not sure about loves...
