I was thinking the same thing JB. One comment about another company, and poof it gets derailed.

Slowing down to save money should be a very simple tenet, especially if you just consider simple math. Take your CPM minus costs and figure out how many more miles you run by running faster. Then, look at the cost of diesel per gallon, fuel surcharge and average mpg's and it's easy to see that slower and steadier, ie more efficient will also mean more money in your pocket. Never mind the wear and tear on the vehicle, etc.

Started out about my experience with Trans Am. Moved on to a topic about Prime. Ended up a topic about how fast to drive.:biggrin_2556:
My dispatcher here is cool, but the weekenders and planners are...

    Well I'd better stop there.

    Jackofalltrades1977 Thanks this.

Tis my own fault. I can get fuel whenever and however much I want. I was stretching and stretched too far. The idea that this week would be kinda dippy on miles had me on edge. But it only ended up costing me more as the money for the road assistance and ten gallons of emergency fuel won't be coming out of my maintenance account. And the service charged $5.15 per gallon. Plus hourly.:biggrin_25513:
