Its soooo sad to listen to those CRE drivers and try to promote or recruit for them. I drive for England for over 5yrs both as a company and as a lease driver. And you wanna know something.....you can't make crap with them. Its worse a lease operator. And before you ask if it was soo bad why didn't I quit....well not sure if you are aware of this but the job market sucks and if it came down to living off what piddly money you make added to what your wife made and making nothing...I chose the former. Their were weeks on need where after running 4000 to 4500 miles I would bring home a whopping $150 paycheck. If not for my wife's check we would have been eating Ramen all the time. And yes a few times when I threatened to quit I was conned backed into staying awhike longer which kept stretching out cuz they couldn't find loads heading west...B.S. So I wanna see if both those drivers are so sweet on England in a year.

Just because we haven't had a bad experience with a company doesn't make us a recruiter. I'm just sharing my personal experiences, and frankly, I'm not surprised others haven't come forward. Every time anyone who doesn't hate the company says anything on this site, they get dumped on. I sometimes wonder why I even bother to waste what free time I have posting when it could be better invested in more productive hobbies without all the negativity. Geez!

Hey ornery are you sitting there at the England offices in SLC right now posting this? Well I was there in 2006 and they painted the rose picture for me too. Just wait...once you get out there after training and on your own. I am just warning as a former driver with England as a O/O both Phase 1 and Phase 2 trainer what they tell you you can make and what you ACTUALLY make will be a huge difference. I would like you to do another post in about 6 months with the real story. I know what I am talking about ...I have been there.

No, I'm not, and I don't appreciate the insinuations. I'm actually very seriously considering leaving this sute altogether. I'm sick and tired of all the negativity, with absolutely nothing worthwhile being offered 99% of the time. Just a bunch of drivers complaining about this, that, or the other. If I wanted to hear that, I'd turn on the cb or hang out at any given truck stop. But hey, I'm sure you'd be happy to see me leave. So it's a win-win for you I'm sure. Many people here are very rude.

I know exactly what you mean. For some reason if you say anything positive about CRE people will jump all over you.

Ho don't get me wrong...don't leave...its just that I am honest. I don't wanna see anyone being taking for a ride or lied to by a big company. You see I was promised the world plus some by England and what happened I got screwed. So yea I am bitter. I know some drivers with England have made money, me no yet I followed their business guide like a bibke. Sorry if what I said made you mad.

If you were an O/O you wouldn't have a lease payment or variable mileage payment and the money would be a lot better. There is a major difference from L/O to O/O. I would choose my syntax more carefully.

Hey Ornery just make sure you study everything before you sign up. That's what I did with Stevens and yup I hear negative posts here bout them also. I just blow it off. I take my own experiences.....who knows what will happen. I will Monday when I start school.

As I mentioned to you before in another thread, I am a business major. I've had my CDL since 2005, CRE is not my first time around in trucking, and I love teaching and am giving serious thought to becoming a trainer. Yes, I became angry, because basically you called me a liar when you don't know what my experiences even entail. I have reviewed the lease contract, and I am aware of the risks. I am also a driver who does not like home time more than a coupke of days every two months.

I've never had an issue with forced dispatch, being some place new OTR excites me, and I truly love my job. I feel like a very lucky wonan because this to me isn't work, it's an adventure. Every time I turn around there's some wonderful new thing to be experienced, and I face each new day with childlike wonder that most jaded adults envy. I've been called crazy, even stupid, but you know what? I don't do this thing called trucking to get rich, it's where my heart is, I'm passionate about it, and even though I could have an excellent local job, I would never be happy.

I'm sorry that things didn't work out for you, and I might fail too, but dog gone it, I'm going to try! Who knows! I might be successful, and if I am, you #### well better come say hi to me in my big pink Freightliner Cascadia with the bald cats and the England trailer. I'll even buy you dinner if you behave yourself.
