I don't have a problem with someone having something negative to say, it is when someone throws some negative comment that is usually off topic, and/or without context or support.
Example: Thread- does company XYZ allow invertors?
Troll poster- Well, I never worked for them, but XYZ treats everybody like crap. My job allows them but you could never get my job.
What is the point of posting a reply like that, and I see it all the time.
ALL companies are BAD, what makes a GOOD company?

You can find someone at every company that loves them and someone that hates them...That's why they made chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, there's something for everyone...
I love my company, they treat me like a person, not a number, never hassle me, make repairs INSTANTLY if needed, keep me busy and most importantly, I've NEVER had a pay issue...Actually, that last one is a lie, they called me and told me I wasn't charging them enough once, gotta love that!!!!!Cochise Thanks this. -
I ajar a job where I can get 5000 miles a week at $2.00 pm and be home every night!!!! WWWWAAAAAAAAA
GAlanFink Thanks this. -
Knight Transportation, Phoenix AZ, offers this, but you must have at least 1 year experience.
It's true, I swear! -
I'm so confused on where to go I have a chance to work mid atlantic region doing fast food deliveries. But u have to lump the whole trailer. In all kinds of weather with hand carts and ramps I just don't know about it.they have a high turnover rate too.

this is a reply on formertaxidriver post .. your right about that... i pulled loads for a company as a O/O... the company drivers where teamsters and had to run the store deliveries... Once they found out we where doing drop & hooks from warehouse to yard.. they got mad.. After a few months of crying, All O/O was let go... its a shame ive been there longer then some of those drivers.. looking for new work wasnt easy..

Holy smokes, someone else that actually dont brown nose the boss! You would think most of these people would expect the same thing, right. The "Company Men" out there will always make life difficult for the rest of us until they pull there panties up and demand to get paid for their service, every second they work! There is no such thing as "part of the job" garbage and I was starting to think I was the last man standing until I read your post---keep fighting the fight cuz they are always trying to screw ya!

For over 30+ years I've been sitting behind that wheel. I was upset when we didn't have power steering or a good air seat or even air bags. I wonder how many driver's now days even change the oil or even a wiper blade? Not many.. because now a days it's "it's not my job,not my truck or I don't get paid to do that". Many driver's in the past said the same thing. Then they became a real man. Had to use your back, get grease on your hands. About the times every bone in your back was killing you. Because, that trailer would only get loaded or unload by you (THE DRIVER). Or the times the driver was gone for manys weeks or a couple months at a time. I know I could keep on going with some more stuff that you could learn. But, remember a few things. (1). All of you got the same thing to do. Be a TEAM. (2). The other driver will always make more than you. Heard that one before, only a million times. (3). Companies always got your back. If the companies got your back, how are they making money or staying above water? (4). Driver's say many times that they were hired away from another company. If that was true why with over 3million miles only 4 speeding tickets in the 70's because of Carter. Many safety awards etc. Why can't I get on with one of those other companies that other driver's hate? Because I'm in my 60's. and to make room for the next KNOW IT ALL!!!

Lots of jobs are physically and psychologically tough and rewarding enough so that almost everyone wants to have that opportunity. They would kill for it. The NFL. Any of the professional sports leagues here in the US...
Truck driving in my opinion is not that hard, and there is a low barrier to entry. That means there's plenty of new drivers. And that means companies who are willing have access to an unlimited supply to cheap human resources that they can get away with exploiting. If they are willing. Unfortunately, many companies are willing. But there are also companies out there that are not willing to exploit their own drivers, and those are the ones people should look to work for.
How does Walmart treat their company road drivers? How does UPS treat their linehaul drivers? -
Seems to me that no-one really liked what you said but you did pick an appropriate name cause most of what's spewing out lands that way... like a big dog pile.
I was a Chief Steward for Teamsters Local 107 years back. Before that, I was asked to be the Shop Steward for the Maintenance Dept. Until I became the Chief Steward, I didn't really know what goes on with Unions. Now I do and I wouldn't work for a Union Company.
I was hired to drive for O'Connor Corp... told I'd have to join the Union after 90 days. On day 85 the Manager came to me and told me I'd have to come into the Teamsters Union in 5 days. I gave my notice. He, in order to keep me on, put me in the Shop for a week to break the 90 day requirement (yeah, I had a good work ethic, I still do). 85 days later, I resigned because they still required I belong to that piss-ant Union.
If you had ANY idea how useless they are, you wouldn't brag about being in one.envayne and steelbeltsdrumming Thank this.
