Thanks for all the feedback. You all are a great bunch of people. I was just wondering if anyone could give me more insight that has owned a Volvo vs. Pete, International, or whatever if it's true that the others have less costly electrical problems or repair in general. I definitely want to stay away form the Volvo engines.

Rob, that star car is very solid, great looking truck. How are you liking the turbo and manifold?
-
You may "doubt", but I know. Had em both!
-
I had a 9900 International, and I would rank it near the bottom of the trucks I have had. Just one thing after another, could have just been a lemon I happened to get, but it was brand new when I got it and finally made it go away after only 300,000 miles.
So I guess that put a bad taste in my mouth concerning International. -
i was on a dedicated account with volvos(4x) with less than 500k miles on each of them and they either had electrical problems or mechanical problems enough that my dm got me out of them because of the down times in the shop and they would shake and rattle so bad that you had to keep a lid on any container but they were real good when it came to getting them in some tight docks.Im in a international prostar now with 220k and the thing drives and rides real good with no issues and pulls heavy loads better than any of the volvos i had and has the same cummins engine just most likely a different gear.

Yep, Volvo is a much better ride more comfortable cab overall but I'd still rather have a w9.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
You people are high. The volvos I've driven have crap for comfort. The seat doesn't slide or lean back nearly far enough. Makes me feel all drawn up. My W9 has nothing behind the seat. I can lean way back. Plus, I feel a lot less road wear than I ever did in any other truck.
