we always ran strobes on mobile home toters and escort vehicles, we even ran with police escorts thru the keys from 2 to 5 am, no one ever questioned them and trust me we had permits checked often.
and unless you are blinking that light in ga, dont worry about the permit on this load unless you taking it back home to ga

Probably be ok for seldom use, but for day in and day out use....

Star, Ecco and Whelan are the only makes that last when permanently mounted in my experience, and the Star strobes use a stupid design bulb if you go that route.
As already said, there are states that have a minimum size for the lights too, as well as the likes of Ne that says to use 2 rear strobes instead of a rear escort over a certain width.

It is an LED strobe so there are no moving parts to go out. The last one I had on my plow truck lasted 7 winters with about 4,000 hours of use at least !!!

Well, I stand corrected!
I have seen them, but they were too small for my uses. Cant beat the price though huh?

Yea, and I checked my reciept, they were $19.98 each. They are the same size as a regular rotating light. They have a coiled 12v plug which I cut off and put a weather pack connector on it. I'm just going to use them for over length beams and 12' wide plates

i bought a full sized LED lightbar for my rack and had some aluminum made for it. i could take some pictures of that for you. didnt cost me much for them.
