Not yet but working on it.
We are going to move out of IL next summer and are thinking about moving to Norris Lake in TN. So we rented a couple houses, bring all the kids and my parents in for the week. I am thinking we should have this vacation paid for some time 2016.SHC Thanks this. -
Just don't let Rollin' know your coming to TN or he may join ya in his mankini

Then again he'd have to stop actually working for a day to do that lolrollin coal Thanks this. -
Yeah, he has already scheduled the waxing so he can be beach ready. But he can afford it now. I can't keep from telling - he is finishing up a $5/mile run on 400 miles. He is making crazy money over the past 2-months. He is at the top in my company right now but several right behind him and that keeps him busting his but. Competition is good.
jjranch and rollin coal Thank this. -
bill, pretty son you will be " the sob making all the money, while we bust our ###".
drivers may soon resent any toys you acquire, it comes with the territory. been there and got the t-shirt.
probably best to keep it on the down-low -
Drivers with attitudes like that will likely be screened out before they lease on. If they acquire such an attitude they'll likely end up with a terminated lease. No patience nor room on the roster for drivers with attitudes like that. There's plenty of money to be made out here and Bill's take is a fair cut for both parties - far better than what'll be found anywhere else.BigBadBill, bbblotliz and jjranch Thank this.

Rollin beat me to the response. I like to believe that my drivers see that I work as hard as they do. Plenty of days that I am driving at 4 am and on the phone going over business with them at 9 pm.
And the reality is that my drivers are clearing enough that they can live a far better life style than I can afford. Now my goal is to have enough drivers working with me to be able to afford the things I like and be able to retire young enough to enjoy life and never have to worry about money. And that is the same goal I have with my drivers.
How many drivers have you met that are still driving because they have too? Way to many. My guys even have the opportunity to make money when they aren't driving.
And there are plenty of owners of carriers that clear more on each driver than the driver does. They are buying new Harleys while I am buy a used Star. -
that's a bunch of BS that bill can afford to take a vacation. but not a ride to some truck show. OR sturgis for that matter.
-
ok, bill.
but it never fails at some point, good to see such a positive attitude but human nature will rear its ugly head.
it will happen, it seems to come as the business grows.
not saying it will be because you dont work as hard as the drivers, but that its an inevitable result from some folks.
as i said, done been there and done that. i was the first one up and the last one to leave. it seems some folks aint happy unless they complain.
but i have seen it to many times, remember this thread one day, you will see the old guy had it dead to right. -
I agree, jealousy is human nature. But we won't be thinking about them as we ride on down the road on 2 wheels while they pass us going the other way in their minivans
