If it's straight from the horse's mouth that you seek, ..... why not post your question(s) in the Ask An Owner/Operator section? :dontknow:

I drove for werner from 11/11 to 4/12, overall not the worst company ive worked for(crst takes that honor) I got good miles (2k+wk) but when I did the math I was being paid 16cents a mile, 20 if I added in incentives. After benefits (which are pretty good) I was taking home about $200wk, no where near enough for a family of 5. So I moved on, a good place to start otr, but I doubt a good place for a career. A piece of advise for new drivers, check those trailers! Out of the last 10 I pulled 6 were busted, &4of those 6 had serious safety issues, check them good cuz chances are the last guy didnt bother & now its on you!

I guess that's one thing I take for granted is that you younger folks are raising families. I have my medical and vision covered as I am retired Army. The only thing I have coming out of my settlements besides the usual taxes and bond is my tuition payment. Running Family Dollar is physically demanding but it pays well and I'm home on weekends.

I guess I should be more specific. I want to hear from Werner owner/operators. But hey, I'll try the O/O thread as well. Thanks

I'm sorry but no human being is going to sit in there own feces for three days. That's a bogus lie if you do not like the company that is one thing but u don't have to lie. It amazes me to here all the gripes of which I may believe 20% of what I hear. Like for instances my trainer didn't let me have a shower for a whole week. I'm sorry but I would have been off the truck after 4 days. When you are wronged by a company so be it. The lies are so palpable You would have to be a fool to believe half the **** that these uneducated ged no high school diploma or college, drivers write on here.:biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518:

Still say a BIG % of the NEGATIVE NELLIES posting about companies have NEVER worked there or likely driven a truck. Their stories are all but fictional and then they vanish.

I used to work for werner as a co team driver with my husband. They ran us all the time with no time to eat or shower. We barely got time to fuel yet we came across other teams that had been sitting for days. We got tired of it so I quit just so we could slow down a bit to take showers and eat. Our cpm wasn't and still isn't what it could be. We discovered lie after lie abt home time and pay changes. Driver placement is a revolving door so no one knows what they are talking about. My husband went on a dedicated account and he was told home time was every week. Wrong, he puts in home time requests and his dispatcher acts like he asked for all te money in the us mint.Dispatch told him no he can't be home every weekend like he was told, he has to stay out for 2 or more weeks in order to go home. We have talked to quite a few other drivers on this account and its gotten bad. We are currently searching for another company with better pay, better policies and definitely for the driver, not just the customer. Werner says they are for the driver but they aren't. Things were better when C.L. was in charge.
