I have a Cobra 25 ltd radio that I bought for my jeep about 12 years ago. Is it a pretty decent CB to have OTR or at least good enough to get by with? I haven't used it in about 11 years either so do I need to get it re-tuned or should it be alright?

UNLESS you have bad caps it should be fine ...

What I do with a radio that I have not used in a long time is start it off at a low voltage like 11 volts and over a few hours bring it up to 13.5 ...

If you can't do that at least run it ( burn in ) for a few hours and watch for any problems

The Cobra 25 LTD is a FINE radio for OTR. Smaller and cheaper than the beloved Cobra 29 and does the same job as a Cobra 29.

I like the older side mic versions without the sound tracker.
