Another Dedicated run for the last one that is without an O/S run in it during April.
9.28 mpg is pretty much another typical Dedicated run with no performance or fuel mileage gains noticeable by this driver using EcoTaz.
This is going to be the last dedicated run for April with EcoTaz that will not have O/S runs in it. I do have 1 more dedicated run I am currently on, but have to swing down by Ft. Benning, GA on the way back to move 2 Oversize loads to Vienna, GA and bobtailing back to finish trip up with out of route miles and miles with OS load miles messing that dedicated run up to count.
We can now recap my dedicated runs without O/S runs in them to get true picture of the EcoTaz Eco-5 in a short time compared to months or a years worth of testing of wild runs that still would not be as accurate as having multiple identical dedicated runs each month the compare. Thank God we had a mild winter and for some strange reason April was more like the 3 previous mild winter months to make for a very good apples for apples comparision.
Before EcoTaz Eco-5
January had 5 runs for an average of 9.208 mpg
February had 4 runs for an average of 9.257 mpg
March had 6 runs for an average of 9.223 mpg
You can't get any more consistant than that. Now for April with EcoTaz...
With EcoTaz Eco-5
April had 4 runs for an average of 9.218 mpg with the EcoTaz Eco-5
9.218 mpg is obvious the Ecotaz makes no difference when considering identical dedicated runs over a months time with the only variables are weather and traffic that would average out of the months worth of runs.
I have yet to see anybody post test results using multiple identical dedicated runs on here and even those wild runs without mechanical changes of either modifications or repairs over even years time is almost impossible to get these kind of results because we are O/Os and if we are not modifying our trucks we are repairing something that broke.
It would take a fleet of hundreds of trucks making only wild runs to equal these kind of results in such a short time.
The results are pretty conclusive and we still have another 30 days before it is removed and maybe even another 60 days without EcoTaz of testing that doesn't appear to be needed.

i think the ROI will be exactly the same , ZERO
but on a more serious note, i myself have picked up huge gains by slowing down. i noticed in the last week though i lost 2 tenths, for the life of me couldnt figure it out. i changed oil air filters, fuel filters, double checked tire pressure, checked cetane levels of the fuel and on and on.
then i remembered , my wife bought me new crocs and white socks to wear, and each croc and sock weighed 3 ozs more than the old ones, thus weighing down my foot more , i took a razor knife and trimmed rubber off the crocs and switched to knee-hi stockings instead of socks,
i the reweighed the crocs and knee-hi's and i had cut 4 oz. off of the weight. filled up the truck, put on my crocs and knee-hi hosiery , picked the 2 tenths back up plus another tenth.
this week i have ditched the crocs and knee his, going barefoot , hoping to pick up even more tenths. hoping for 3 tenths more barefoot.Dice1 Thanks this. -
So that is why the Werner drivers wear sandals and tank tops with sweat pants, they save fuel !!!!
Which also means less fuel ups....no wonder they smell terrible and are dirty, they have no shower credits. It all makes sense nowJDP Thanks this. -
It's a TROLL!!! -
This is why I would like to have a few more truckers with Cats that are getting over 9mpg and that drive 57mph to test with. We have installed on over 60 Cats over the last 3 days and everyone I ask if they get close to 9mpg and can drive 57 mph with a Cat engine turns and walks off laughing.
On the good side we have several fleets that are doing the same run every day with the same weight and same road and driver everyday. These drivers do not have any wild runs in between tests. One of them has been testing for over two months and have already committed to do their fleet of several hundred trucks, and the other fleet is even testing units on the reefers. Both of these will release their results to us. Both fleets are running all Cat engines. Another fleet with Cummins has 8 units on dedicated runs as well. They check their mileage by gallons used and miles driven, and verify speed and idle time with their ECM Reports.
So Far all 3 fleets are very excited with their savings. -

Those that you say the earth is flat are probably not Professional truck drivers.
