So we got 2 drivers that say they suck, and 2 that say they don't. We need a tie breaker.

All I have to say about it is that if you are driving second hand CRE and JBH trucks under the increasing scrutiny of the DOT then more power to you. I have never seen a company truck with 500k let alone 1 million that did not have problems so if they got million milers running great with no problems they have some superstar mechanics.

Our mechanics are great. We do have a lot of new trucks in and trailers. I am Flatbed so I don't know much about the van side. But I have 800k on my truck and it runs great. Every truck here gets the job done. Even the few flds we have. I'm not saying there is never any issues with the trucks or personnel here but what issues arise are delt with swiftly.

So let's see what truckdriver_mn says that is false. Let's start with the mechanics being good mechanics. The phrase "learn to live with it" is a normal statement that comes out of the Northfield shop so much, other drivers were mocking it while I was down at the Portland yard. With the 800,000 mile truck was mentioned, it's actually a 1,800,000 truck (it rolled over). They do have a few 700,000mi Volvos, but those are for lease and their new trucks are far and in between. They are on electronic logs because they decided to violate hours of service so much, they got hit hard by DOT and no longer had a choice. As far as equipment being DOT compliant, I still have the pictures, you haven't given an email. So again, I have the prof that I am willing to share, DOT violations, both resignation forms. Now, you have called me lazy, and full of B.S., while I have pictures to back up my claim and your company CSA and your DOT case. I think you can keep your unsubstantiated opinion to yourself now "truckdriver_mn".

Oh, just a quick P.S.. Their truck issues are not delt with quickly, it takes days to get into a shop. Even with their mandatory 24hr notice you must give, you can still wait days before getting into their shop. I'm beginning to think "truckdriver_mn" is not a driver at all, but one of their office twits.

Lol ok bud. I don't have to prove myself to you. I guess you know everything about the company after your what 2 week stint. Or did you quit/got fired sooner? Can't recall. Oh and must be a spoiled brat that needs a new truck on top of things... A 2 million mile truck can get the job done just as good as a new rig. And there not few and far between. There coming in ever day. I just got one. Has a 100 miles on the clock. Guess if you would have given it some time and let go of mommas tete for 5 minutes you would have seen it. And as far as the shop, I give my day in advance call as a courtesy to the guys but never waited days. Heck never waited hrs. I spent last weekend in Portland, my truck had a service done before my appointment was scheduled.

I don't need to give my email, nor care about your claims. I know what its like here. I know how I get treated. And I make money. I'm as happy as a baby in a strip club. And no, I'm not in the office. I'm out hear dealing with the good and bad, the highs and lows. But supporting my family every step of the way. Not quitting before I paid my dues or not handed the keys to a new truck... I took my thumb out of my mouth some years back.

Oh that's funny. If you read my post that you called "B.S.", and now calling me names over, you would find that the issue with the trucks was not that they had over a million miles on them, it was the fact that they could not pass DOT. You have also stated "I'm over on the flatbed side and don't really know much about the van side". Over your repeated post, I have offered fact and prof where you have offered admitted uneducated opinion. I'm glad you have an opinion about a guy you don't know, an event you were not witnessed too, or a truck you never drove. Personally, I think you kind of sound like an %#@ giving an opinion on a matter you know nothing about. Or maybe it is like a stated before and you are one of their office twits trying to get your 15 person a week orientation class filled. That brings up another question, 300 trucks and you try to hire 15 drivers a week? Yup, sounds like Taylor does a hell of a good job.

:biggrin_2559: That's a NEW one! Can I use that or do I have to pay you "royalties?"

I know nothing of Taylor firsthand,as a few years ago my app was rejected because of 2 30yr old dui's..But from what I have HEARD from people I have run into in the New Ulm/Mankato area is they are not bad to work for.

From what I understand, they were a good company to work for several years ago. I talked to more then a few drivers while I was broke down and each one said the same thing. Even with the short time I was there, I did see that they had miles. I myself, did 4500mi in 10 days. Yes, the trucks are old and the interiors are garbage (one was stained dark yellow from cigarettes), but the big problem is maintenance. Out of the four people that did not quit at orientation, all of our trucks had to go into the shop right then. Really? They just inspected them the day before! I was only with them for 14 days, and in the shop 4 of them. But all of that is really nothing, until your told to drive a "loaner" truck for a week or two that you know, can not pass DOT. All that they had to do was to put their "loaner" truck into their shop and fix it, it was already in the yard after all, but they refused to fix it. The joke of it all, was when they sent a "mechanic" out to the line to do his own inspection of their truck. It was really funny, I took a nice little video of it. The mechanic got behind the wheel, turned the truck on, taped on the break for 30 seconds, then declared it DOT compliant. I had written up 12 items, four of them out of service offenses. These are dangerous people to work for and by far, the worst company I have ever seen.
