Well they haven't screwed you personally now have they? Blah Blah...I know three friends.......how we know your friends even deserved to drive one of their trucks? To make a blanket, blantant, accusation like that gets me :biggrin_25510:.

Which is also a good point.
There are a LOT of lazy whiners in trucking. So you always have to weigh the questions when someone is griping about a company-- Did he actually give his best and the company fell short of expectations? Or is this guy a slacker, a trouble maker or just completely incompentant that the company needed some excuse to get him off the crew.

So idle gossip is indeed hard to measure.

where there's smoke , there's fire. Im not going to ask a guy for his pay stubs so i can see for myself if he got bent over on his pay. I take it all with a grain of salt.

If there was a fire every time a someone blows smoke, second hand smoke at that, have a raging inferno going on.

He has three friends who worked there, not first hand smoke to blow, I will not give his post any merit. Reason I opened my big mouth in the first place is because the bad negative info on companys gets attention and the good takes a back seat.

Refused to work nights.......they run 24/7, a 6 month employee needs to work whatever shift is available. You adjust your sleeping habits.

    Anywhos done with the subject.

Effective 7:00 a.m. CT, Thursday, April 26, 2012,load restrictions will be removed on most highways south of US 2.

    - hopefully things start picking up around here.

Do you think things are going to start picking up now that the load restrictions are being lifted?

First time poster here but I've been following this thread for a long time. I've been tasked with doing research on opportunities up in North Dakota and Montana and one of the questions that I have been asked to answer is if the work is going to be steady for trucking operations new to the area.

    Some background:

The people that have asked me to do this work are wanting to put trucks up in the Field to haul fresh water. They've asked me to find out all sorts of information. They want to know what average down times are like for trucks operating in the oil field, how many hours per day are fresh water trucks working (I know people say they are running 24/7 but they are skeptical that about earning revenue for every hour of the day with one truck. Ie, 125/hour or 3000/day), average loads/day for Fresh and production water. Things like that.

They are used to hauling for construction/demo jobs mainly but with the construction industry on the back burner, they are looking for ways to get their trucks back to work.

And that's how I found this thread. Doing my research. :)

Reading the last few pages of the thread, threw up some red flags. 100's of trucks sitting, things slowing down etc. I don't want to give them bad information but I thought I'd better due some due diligence here and find out if now is not the time to put trucks up there.

90-125 is more like it ( depending on the size of the water tank bbls ) and most companies now don't want you doing 24hrs any more.

I would wait in getting trucks up here until things start picking up around here before investing lots of money.

Pride Trucking tride to get some trucks into the water biz but it got under bid and lost the work. now they have brand new shiny trucks just sitting.

It's hard for o/o but not so much for the big boys like 'power fuels' and key and they don't take any o/o , at least not any more after the train crash.

Wow, who peed in your Wheaties? Are you thinking everything made public about a company's reputation must be squeaky clean and positive to be unquestionable?

Agreed it was blanket and blatant, according to actual testimony of people who have been there, not something I read in some forum. Sorry if you were offended.
