this company will cheat you miles, and hometime that slide scale is the biggest joke..not worth the time effort, and pay to work for crooks, lier's. unfair to driver in the s.e.

I keep hearing this complaint about sliding scale pay. I guess some drivers think the scale should be reversed and the shorter the run, the less they should get paid.
Company pays you .38 to drive 1000 miles thats 380 bucks.
Company has you run 2 loads at 500 miles each and pays a extra 2 penny's a mile for runs 500 and under. 1000 miles at .40 a mile on the scale is 400 thats 20 bucks more for the same amount of miles.
Why are drivers whining about getting paid more per mile?
Please tell your company to pay the same on all loads and mail me the sliding scale difference. If you don't want it, I will be glad to take it.

this time!! hope it will help a new applicate thats looking for serious employment not all that Lie'n and cheating driver out of there pay and all...just do what they advertise, and later for the tricks.

hey driver my job is waiting for you now!! i cannot afford that kind of pay i do charity for free not work.@ 34cpm on a sliding scale for over 90days is not making a decent living as a OTR-haz driver...its working my way back to living in a shalter with my family..its a rip-off driver.

thanks for explaining...some may think that is good money, but being out here its not we have road expenses, and working at Landair i wasnt getting my reimbursement, and my pay stayed off everyweek seemlike.
