Well,I'm into day 2 of orientation w/Swift and I'm thankful 4 the seasoned truckers out there who really help by saying positive things and encouraging us "newbies." I have a friend out there I've never met, but we speak over the phone and text a lot, i got in contact w/ him thru his dad. I had heard so much junk and trash talk about almost every company out there and I was getting really bummed out. Then I talked to Josh, he actually drove for Swift and was a trainer for them. He doesn't trash any company. He's not at Swift now, but he never says anything negative, in fact it's exactly the opposite. he told me they were a great place to work, very safety conscious and he'd still be there, but for personal reasons, he moved on. Thanks Josh. Thanks for being a professional and a positive role model for us guys just getting our feet wet.

Thats called good attitude towards your job no matter which outfit you start with there will be both negative and positive comments about that company best thing is to do your job and don't listen to all the comments. Best of luck.

i wish you well friend its not that there driver out here bashing other company we get fed up with the tricks, and lie's these company put us through. its a doggie business, and most of these company including Swift is not out for our well being only the safety of there equipment not our family, and lifestyle off the road. take the junk that you'll need later when you get the driving experience to do better by choseing the company that's your fit for your lifestyle, because driver,:biggrin_25514: trucking is a lifestyle and can be very lonely so being home to me is very important now..surround yourself with owner operator than you understand what it mean to be a positive professional truck driver not a company wheel handler.."keep on trucking"

Just because someone doesn't own a truck doesn't mean they aren't professional. We all work hard and we are all away from our families. All of us have to obey the same laws. On both sides of the coin I've seen truckers who were rude and simply miserable. In every career there are those who complain and those who just try to get along with people. The man who has been encouraging me is a professional whether he owns his own rig or not. His attitude and out look makes him a pro. No fines, accidents, nothing on him and he's been doing it for years! His pre-trips are meticulous. I know some owners, they tail gate me every day on the interstate, I've been flipped off by them, I've not seen one do a pre-trip yet at any truck stop, they constantly push the envelope between insane and dangerous! These company drivers are some of the safest drivers in the business! You give the impression that if we don't own a truck we aren't "real" truckers, that's silly!
