I've been driving for almost ten years. I called them and they told me about thru "superpay" which dissuades you from turning high miles. Then they wanted to lease me a truck. So I looked that over and realized Id be screwed from day one and the only way to make that work would be to live in a truck 330 days a year with some other smelly guy......
Do some research. Call them up if you want to. They are the reason I found this site.
Basically they want people to run THEIR equipment, service THEIR accounts, and take all the risk.
That's my take on them.

 

They do have nice equipment. I see it all the time on the road.....

 

Well for the mega-carriers its supply vs demand when it comes to new hires. They could care less if you quit because there is 200 other people waiting to take your place.

 

Well I won't read all these replies so here is my input. Your either a troll, or someone who hasn't been driven as long as you claim.. Sounds like you drove a whole 35minutes and came to this conclusion.. If you have driven as long as you claim, you should know by now, that these driven mills, are not going to make you a true O/O or even rich.. With your experience you should already own your own small business.

 

Oh, and it should be illegal for them to lease a truck to a new driver. When you first start, you don't even know how to drive or park the #### truck, much less deal with night driving, snowstorms, sleep deprivation log book issues, or even where to take a ####!
I remember my arms aching after driving all day because of the death grip I had on the wheel.
How the hell do they expect somebody going through all that to run a business?????
Its a #### shame.

 

A driver that works and is punctual for shipper and the reciever..and can work his hours.. and stay away from the extra curriculars out on the road will make money... seems most i see and talk too all want to complain.. why is this.. smh.. im making money always have.. it is wut it is men... either you know how to dos and wut to dos or u dont.. just that simple..
