Anything me (4 wheeler) can do to make things easier?

Ya its called a ICC bumper and ya it will peel the top off about any 4 weeler if hit hard enough

 

don't drive 5-10 mph under the speed limit on hills and make a truck slow down going up hill. It sucks the way it is with weights and such.

The worst tail gaters. Follow me for miles ( loaded ) and tail gate no matter of the terrain or traffic or mph . Fixed on my butt for unknown reasons.


When i get a chance to pass someone after all those miles. That tailgater decides to move around me and hang out on my drive wheels and then they ride beside the vehicle i was trying to pass.

70 mph truck. means nothing if behind 2 people going 55mph on a 65mph road WTF. Happens all the time.

if they rear end me. Their life not mine. I used to care. Now i just watch out when they sneak around and hang out becoming friends with the mud flaps .

 

Some of these have been said before but I'll repeat for emphasis.

1. Please don't "hang out" next to me. I don't know what the fascination is with this but it seems to be getting very common. If you want to match speeds, fine, do it a couple car lengths in front of or behind me. I may need to change lanes in a hurry.

2. When travelling cross country I tend to use the cruise control 95% of the time. Mainly because it allows me to relax and stretch out my legs but also the truck is set to not hit max speed unless on cruise for fuel savings. One of the things that chaps my rear end REALLY badly is when I come up on somebody who is going slower than I am and when I try to pass they decide to speed up. Now I'm stuck out in the fast lane with traffic building up. Then to add insult to injury, when I finally merge back over to the right lane, said vehicle starts slowing down again. This tends to be more common with old people and distracted teenagers but its a pain regardless.

3. When big trucks are climbing hills or descending hills, do NOT do NOT do NOT ever cut short in front of them on a pass. This makes me want to throw fireballs and lightning bolts because once I have to get on the brakes (especially with a heavy load) all that momentum I worked hard to build up is GONE and now I'm in low gear with the flashers on, engine screaming at 15MPH.

 

Just do what you do and keep doing it. Don't speed up, slow.down, move over, or flash your high beams at us.
We are the pros and will do what we need to do.
Trying.to "help" us usually just makes things worse.

 

There's also another thing that we don't want you to do. See there's an 1-800 number on the back of some trailers that is something like Hows my driving? 1-800-3234-23342 your actually not supposed to call that number its usually gets you transferred directly to the rejection hotline. Just my 2 cents, Thx.
