14/7 hometime plus

I would say I doubt it. Considering I'm 14/7, not out of Bensalem but with all the stuff you have to lug around I couldnt imagine or I couldnt on a train and bus. You have your luggage or bag, tools which include locks, food if your going to stock any while out, plus either sleeping bag or sheets/pillow however which route you go. Plus lap top carrying case with dvds and such which i reccommend as well. 14/7 you slip seat out of 2 trucks so what you put in the truck you have to take out so the next guy goes out.

 

Not sure about your question, but i will be starting the same day. Are you planning on doing van or flatbed?

 

Van. I was warned about flat beds.

Hey, I am just starting this career so I have to really go by other people's opinions. Supposedly too many regulations and higher chances of being stopped by DOT.

 

I wanted to go flatbed since i am young now and more able to do it, however they are not hiring for skateboards in my area. only van. But i have read that along with the physical part that sometimes there is alot of waiting between loads, and lower miles. Havent herd too much about more regulations, and stopped by DOT if the load is not strapped right or chained safely.

I agree it is best to start flatbed when still young, I was only 49 LOL, flats run pretty stready, I run more miles than alot of van guys I talk to and don't wait on loads as long as them usually although I did wait 3 hours for a load once. I run average around 2400 a week including home time, and as long as you secure properly DOT is no worry, haven't been stopped yet.

 

Its all the same. Miles here waiting there van or flatbed runs into the same problems. Its either strap, tarp etc or close a door. Bump a dock or not. Pick your tick. Whatever floats your boat. If u run van or flatbed Maybe have to wait for a load, miles will fluctuate.

 

Yeah but van when its raining or blowing snow I spend maybe 5 minutes outside "securing my load" LOL....beats tarping anyday...
