Hey guys, I was given an invite to orientation today. From everything I've read here it sounds like a great opportunity. Being based out of Conover can anyone tell me what to expect as far as miles are concerned? I realize it will vary depending on how many drops the loads out of Conover have. The more drops the more time it takes getting empty. I also realize you can make some substantial money in drop pay, I'm just trying to get an idea of my actual income potential. With 10 plus years of experience they said I would be at .37 a mile to start.

Can any of you Conover drivers give me a heads up as to what to expect? Thanks.

Depends on how many stops...Less stops, more miles of course but more stops could make you more money...But you can expect to be kept busy so you can make as much as you feel like working...Conover and Dalton are currently best places to get as much as you can out of the company...

I know what your saying about drops and the time it takes. More drops less miles, but more drop pay.

I'm just trying to get an idea about how much I can make a week on average. With weekends/34 hr reset at home can I make $50k a year with WS?

I almost made $50k the first year and I started at .25cpm, so I think that's a no brainer for you...

Nice! And you were home weekends too?

This comany just sounds better and better every day. Now I just hope I get through orientation. Haven't been in a truck for 2.5 yrs, I'm sure I'm a little rusty.

No, I wasn't home weekends when OTR...I did however get home whenever I asked...I usually stayed out 3 weeks, my choice...

With 10yrs experience, the rust will break off quickly...I have a friend that drive for almost 10yrs, hasn't driven for almost 10yrs and just passed a road test yesterday...It'll be like riding a bike!!!

Yeah, I have plenty of confidence in my driving ability, like you said its like riding a bike. However I'm sure my shifting will be a little rusty with the timing, I sure hope they don't make me double clutch :biggrin_2555:

Thanks for your time and feedback!

Does where your home terminal is make a big difference in how many loads you get? I live in Spokane, Wa and going to orientation in Missoula. There is a drop yard in Spokane. So I'm just curious since the Spokane yard isn't a main terminal
