Thanx for saying this! Ex employees sometimes (most times) fail to realize that we (readers) understand that there are two sides of the story and just because they omit their failure, it does not mean that it didn't happen. Some of these "factual" stories are so out there it is offensive that the OP assumes we are stupid!

Appreciate your effort in calling a "duck a duck" :biggrin_25520:

I am currently in training with Swift and so far they are doing what they promised to do and that is to give me the BEST training I can get. I have trained with two other companies prior to Swift and I must say that I have a better understanding of HOS and trip planning as well as how to handle my truck in different situations. Swift even sets up time where you can speak to their head mechanics about the care of your truck. No other company has done this! I feel I am learning more with Swift than another other company I have gotten hired on with. They did not promise me that I will make a gazillion bucks as a new driver but they have assured me that if I display good driving habits and don't turn down too many loads then I will be able to make a decent living in my first year with them and get the experience I need. They prefer for you to stay with the company but if you decide to go else where they keep the door open for you to come back if you are a good driver with a good work ethic.

    How about this story! ...
What is this? You can read lies all day long. I just talked to a driver that has been fired from several jobs including trucking jobs. His story is how he was ripped off by all of them. Never any fault of his own. "POOR ME" syndrome. You need to know how much of every story is BS and how little objective veiws are actually posted.
Come on now! Shame on those who spread rumors. Without facts, these are simply entertainment for bored truckers!

I got to agree with you,I know a guy who was a trainer for Swift. He was there quite a while and really liked them. He's an excellent driver and has had no incidents at all. He had some personal issues and Swift let him go. He was treated unfair, but he doesn't whine about it. I went to Swift and he simply encourages me and never bashes any company! Some people grew up to believe that the world owes them something, no one owes anybody a thing!! If you don't get along with people or you get a bunch of tickets, maybe YOU are the problem.

Being a driver at swift, myself, having previously worked in HR and organizational mgmt there are so many inconsistencies you witness with this behemoth company.

I think the OP is skewed with his story as I would have heard of this swift driver myself on the Qualcomm. We get daily crash reports in an effort to goal and keep safety in perspective. There are annoying aspects, like right now being stuck in Laredo 3rd day now but that's a Laredo thing, not swift.

It's so hard to find a thread in the BAD Company section for Swift -- unlike some other companies -- and this always happens... about 10 people who are currently working for Swift or worked for Swift or just started working for Swift start picking the story apart... too funny.... try it... come up with some nonsense about Swift...
Now, if you can come up with anything you want, even some OUTLANDISH dirty LIE, about some other companies... you'll get half the TTR telling you they were in the Pink Poca Dot Peter Build truck next to you when that happened!!!
Something to be said about having a good reputation and I hope they treasure it.

Absolutely not false. A group of lease operators that did not fully understand what they were signing when they leased their trucks from IEL and then on to Swift (This is my opinion only). It was filed in 2010 and the court recently granted that the suit can be heard as a class action suit.

Have any of you noticed that when it comes to Swift,Prime,CRE and a few other compaines..any time there is something negative posted about them you always see the same people coming to the rescue? These people automatically say that its the drivers fault, they did not want to work, wanted a new truck or wanted someone to hold their hand. But it's never the companies fault!.....seems to me that anyone could become a member here from the guy washing the trucks to the guy signing the checks. Just saying.

It's like i told another driver here. When you hear the same kind of complaints from people not only on this forum but on many other forums as well. You have to come to the conclusion that there must be something to it.

If one person said the food was good at a local restaurant while 100 others said it was terrible, would you still eat there!! I mean really. Which carries more weight. The opinions of a few people or the opinions of a few hundred?
