Got to Arcadia Monday night, left with a empty trailer and lost a airbag on it in bartow. Swing it thru the yard, dropped it across street at shop, grabbed another empty (last one) and hauled ### to Tampa. Trailer was preloaded heading back to Austell GA. I got to Austell about 7pm Tuesday night, took my break and wandered in about 5 am and was unloaded and gone about 6am. Hauled ### back to covington and picked up another preloaded trailer coming down here to Lakeland which is where I sit awaiting my 7am appt. I got to the yard at 1600 yesterday and pleaded like no other to get this load split to a local driver but they were already booked. It sucked having to sit extra with this load as I managed 2023 miles in 3 1/2 days and was in a serious groove. I was well on my way to 3k miles by friday . However, the extra wait time allowed ne to go home for the night.

Next preplan is sitting preloaded in Sebring going to Albany GA yard.

I'm going on my 3rd week. I can't complain because I drove for worser. They really need to hire more sales reps to get more accounts. Cause believe me Werner got the trucking game locked down. But besides that, they really need to stop hiring drivers for southeadt regional because they sending southeast regional drivers to the southwest. If I had a truck with a little more speed then I wouldn't mind. I'm not going to Texas in a slow ### truck. I'm catching hell going up and down hills. God forbid if I ever gotta go up Mt. Eagle in Tennessee on I-24.

Besides that I just got my first check and found out that they don't pay orientation. U suppose to get $100 for orientation, they put it on your comdata card as soon as you get out of orientation, they set it up as an advance instead of orientation and then take the $100 right back on your first check. They switch my DM and gave me a rookie..I rathe r deal with a rookie than a jerk DM anyday..My loads have been pretty good. Miles decent, hometime on point. Besides orientation pay and switching DM's with me I'm good.

Oh yeah, my ac went out on me. How are they with fixing ac in trucks. Most companies be like wait till u get to a terminal. But it'll be a minute before I see Lakeland..I just wanna know the mind set of breakdown before I call them cuz I got John Simone on speed dial if any problems..lol

They are suppose to be paying for orientation. Just call breakdown and let them know. Tell em its effing hot out and not heading to a terminal anytime soon. They wont give you any problems.

What's happennin Anj8488, it's been a minute. They tell u they do but it's set up as an advance. Check stubbs don't lie...I'm getting ready to call breakdown bout my ac. I'm in Memphis, Tn. They couldn't or can't find no loads comming out of Memphis. Instead of hiring drivers they need to hire sales rep to set up national accounts for us across the south. We should be able to get loads anywhere especially port freight. I have my twic card. Just suggestion not complaining.

You all miss me? My week started off bad. I got my first DM in trouble and he paid me back. I grabbed load in yard, del to Costco in West Palm. They reject a pallet and sat until I had about 2.5 hrs left on my log. Then I'm told to drop it in Riviera Beach. Grab load in Boynton and head to Jacksonville. Out of hrs so I can't go up until Tuesday. I'm sent from there to pick up in Savannah Wed morning to deliver two stop load that finals in Wilmington, NC. Planned to drop empty in Maxton to pick up another empty at a repair shop, but they didn't repair the trailer. DOT expired and lights didn't work. So I call and they have them come in and fix lights. They put a sticker on without checking the trailer. I wouldn't do that, but they did. I pick up in Catawba and dropped that load this evening in Conyers. 1397 miles, Mon to Thu... I'm ticked!

I tell my other DM I need better miles and I pick up in Sylacauga, AL for Lakeland. He said be will set me up to drop that in the yard. After that, I'll have just over 2000 miles for the week. Second DM said he will plan me on a good run or two to start next week. I can see a request to meet my DM for a talk at the back of the shop behind some trailers... I'm really aggravated from such a slow week.

I can't wait till our new DM system is in place, it will alleviate these headaches. There were 3 in training when I was in Lakeland Wednesday.

I can't wait either. Having a recruiter as a temporary DM is miserable. He dislikes the position and it's obvious.

You doing alot of overnight runs? I picked up in Ocala and now waiting for CVS to open here in Bessemer, AL. No preplan yet. Hours are low since I didn't get to shut down long enough over the weekend.
