Sounds a bit too steep for a 2009. especially since it has the terrible DPF system
Why not buy a brand new Fitzgerald glider for $115,000. -
I'm with them....too much for what I've seen. The warranty isn't worth snot either. The prospective unit has almost half it's mileage life run out of it yet the price is more than 3/4 it's original price.
Take the FLD out of the deal. The more you can keep from the dealer the less he has to play with. Sell the FLD outright and pass the Volvo.
JMOSHC Thanks this. -
Seen a 2010 the other day for sale with 265,000 miles on itBigBadBill Thanks this.

That's some runnin........BigBadBill Thanks this. -
Our local shop has an 09 Cascadia in with almost 900k doing a rebuild. Three guys from Chicago run it. We figured it out that the truck is running over 800 miles a day.
Didn't look inside but told the inside is disgusting. -
Fuel is high. Nothing bigger than a 350. Have it inspected by sombody you are reasonably sure isn't in their pocket. If it passes; offer them 5 grand under wholesale. They will balk. Say, ' Look; you want to move this unit or not?' Just MY opinion.

Your paying for an 09. But it should be considered a 08 or 07 with that many miles on it.
I find that around 500,000 miles is about the time volvos start running into those basic mechanical problems. And depending on how it is run you could be looking at an engine rebuild in the 600-900k range. So to me this truck is going towards the last leg of its life now. Oh sure with maintance you can keep it going for ever. But it seems to me a 70k price tag is a bit high for a truck of this range.
Or maybe we are missing a few things. Like does it have some xtra chrome packages, the longer wheel base, the 175g fuel tanks, or a special package intirior? -
Even if it did have those things it's still an aero truck and doesn't command a premium like that. That would even be high imo for a similar mileage hood. Regardless of fuel prices hoods still command a premium - they do get cheaper as fuel goes higher but they always have higher price tag than aero's. Likely they suspect they can make easy money off this guy he ought to shop more.chalupa Thanks this. -
Sounds like a CRE training unit!
