Smiths Grove, KY, third Russellville to Chicago run in about a week. My student has got to experience a lot of Midwest this week.
-
Sitting in Ellenwood waiting for a load home. And i couldnt claim it because i accidentally sent it after my loaded call.

At the Petro in New Point, IN. Deliver in Cincinnati at 0700 tomorrow and then should have a load home from there.
The fun never stops in #9214. Today I was about 30 minutes from my pick up in Mt. Olive, IL when my Truck PC screen fluttered and then reloaded upside down and backwards. Picture looking at the screen in a mirror.
Call Maintenance and they give me the number for Driver Tech Support. Sit on the phone with them for 45 minutes while they send updates, patches and reboot about a dozen times. Nothing fixes it. Keep in mind that I can still use it but the display is all screwy. Told it will need to be replace as it appears to be a hardware issue. Okay, so down the road I go.
About an hour down the road I hit a serious of bumps on I-70 and screen corrects itself...HOORAY! My excitement was short lived. I stop about an hour later at a rest stop as nature is calling me. Try to change my duty status and screen is locked up. It has done this before and rebooting it usually solved the problem. Well not this time and now I can't even log back in. So I unplugged the unit and drove onward.
Now I have no HOS log or msgs. Safety sent my last 8 days as a PDF so I could update a paper log.
So far this week I have no dash A/C and now no Truck PC. FM tells me that I have finally been approved for a new truck and they are trying to find one. Says he knows of a KW that will become available next week as a driver is leaving the company. He says to me that he knows its not new but its a possibility. I quickly piped up and told him I'd rather have the KW than a brand new rig!

That stinks, seems like a hoop to jump through when you should get it regardless. It should be automatic, instead of making silly stipulations in order to get paid.
-
Finally!!!!
-
KW's are purty that's for sure. Most likely a 660 and miles I would guess be decently low
-
Hour and a half backup to cross into Port Huron. Currently sitting in Grand Ledge, MI at the J. deliver in Holland MI tomorrow.
-
Don't hold your breath till you see that KW . Most that I've seen are dinged up
Pretty good. Its a real shame they are only two years old.
Notez I hope ya get lucky and its in good shape, only draw back no apu.
-
I'm not counting my eggs yet. I've been promised a newer truck before.
Curious though, if there is no APU, what powers stuff on the KW when its shut off? Do they have the Parksmart system too?
