pay in is just about right most of the time. Bubba is ok, but he will miss lead you if you dont watch it. dont get me wrong i lik bubba and ken. but the freight is not there. so i am going into the system next week on percentage and give it a shot, if it turns out the same, then i am history.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of gross pay are you making?
Thanks,
Don -
Just to ask - Did you actually lease on and how about a recap of the first month. Just saw they have a southern fleet and am thinking about them as an avenue of escape from the rut I have dug for myself here in South Carolina. TIA
-
Yes I am leased to Jones Express in their mileage program, Jones pays within 48 hours after paperworked scanned, sometimes sooner, but mostly within 48 hours.
Once you train the dispatch as to how you operate, things will be just fine.
Yes I am making money, some weeks better than others, but I am still making money... Jones is a decent company to lease with, I have no problems with them.
on a side note to headbanger if you are from Florence,sc..Jones has a dedicated customer (Harbor Freight) in Dillion that the haul out of daily with multiple loadsalds Thanks this. -
What about equipment ( chains, tarps, load binders) and getting a trailer if you dont have one? Do you they help you get the things you need as well?
-
Yes, they will help you get everything you need. I work for Jones express, their van division.
-
ok! Thanks! I think I will give them a shot!

i have been with Jones for 17 months, i started with jones express running a van, then switched to jones motor running flatbed which is making me much more money, i average about 2200 a week net after all expenses, i have a driver in my truck we only work monday thru friday, my driver lives near memphis tn which is a good place to be based, all i do is dispatch him, find loads, once you learn the ropes you can do well, i have had no issues with pay or with anyone at jones since switching to flatbed, the van division was no good for me however i was still learning at that time, i average 50/50 jones loads/broker loads
Richboom192 Thanks this. -
Are you mileage or percentage with the van?
