Yea, this all ain't good. Drug-resistant strains of diseases ARE making a comeback and what will we fight them with now? NOT GOOD.

I know this may sound silly, but we fight them with herbs. Garlic is one of the BEST topical anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral agents known to man. Doctors just don't want to admit that Mother Nature has something stronger than they can create!

Educate yourself on the proper use of herbal remedies! Cinnamon helps control blood sugar.. Cayenne helps lower blood pressure.. Evening Primrose helps control PMS...

    Bonnie,

I believe in holistic approach first too. This country has gotten too used to fighting off the common cold and simple inflations with antibiotics way too much.

BTW, making mental notes of your suggestions. LOL

The thought of not having a defense to some of these strains scares me terribly. Especially now that they are not confined to the hospitals. :biggrin_25524:

We have used holistic medicines around here for a long time. Melva is allergic to penicillin, and some of the other antibiotics make her sick, so we had to figure out how to treat her colds without them.

Dennis was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins lymphoma in 1998 and told he had 3-6 MONTHS. Chemo didn't do much for him in the first round... So Melva and I concocted an herbal and vitamin regimen that kept the cancer at bay for nearly 6 years! He had to go back to chemo in 2004. But he kept taking the herbs and vitamins. He didn't pass on until just yesterday. Gee, that's longer than any 6 months!

I'm a firm believer that every herb and plant was put here for a purpose. It is our responsibility to learn HOW to use them!

The "Super bug" developed through the overuse of antibiotics. People get a cold and they run to the doctor for some antibiotics and now we are facing paying the price of "over-medication". People have an allergy and they run to the doctor for an antibiotic. I got a friend that runs to the doctor 2 to 3 times a week, every time he sneezes he needs an antibiotic.
    BOOM THE SUPERBUG!

Whenever I go into a truck stop and use the restroom, I never wash my hands in the restroom, that is the easiest way to pick a germ up. I carry antibacterial wipes with me and when I get back to the truck, before I do anything, I wipe my hands and then wipe off the steering wheel.

When I go into to eat, I do not use the restroom to wash my hands, I use the antibacterial wipes. A public restroom is crawling with germs and I refrain from even touching the faucets. My "private parts" are probably cleaner than any other part of me and my urine is sterile, so what is the big deal about washing after using the restroom?

My husband carries antibacterial wipes with him as well.

He is always wiping down his steering wheel and his hands.

He pulls into a terminal and another driver takes it to be unloaded.

Hubby get's back in and wipes the steering wheel. Can't blame him with the germs in the air!

Liquid anti-bacterial works better than wipes. My wife works in the Operating Room at the hospital and that's what they recommend. With wipes, you put your dirty hand in grab one and possibly contaminate the next sheet.
With the liquid, you pour some in your hand, put the bottle down and rub until dry.
As far as staph is concerned, people go nuts cleaning and kids never develop any natural resistance to anything, that's why the incidents of asthma is at unprecedented levels. Let the kids go out and get filthy once a while.
A little dirt under the finger nails never killed a kid.

There's a ton of truth in that Ronno! I also believe all the products with antibacterial stuff in them has allowed a new outbreak in kids not building an immune system.

A little dirt never kills them, if it did William wouldn't be here! I swear to you, he can get filthy in the cleanest room! And if you turn him lose outside, God Help! He will come in so covered in dirt all you can see are his eyes!
