Unless you enjoy hearing a bunch of girls having a pissing match; You haven't missed a #### thing. I upgraded all of my equipment, went from a 100 yard range, to now 5 miles.. but I am thinking about down grading so I don't have to hear the guy 3.4 miles away, who wears womens underwear.
zentrucking Thanks this. -
I used to watch another drivers mirror, to see if he is holding the mic. and talking like that, and let everyone know what he is driving.
xFreeWord420x Thanks this. -
I shut mine off anymore. I am seriously going to retire the 29 and put the 19 back in, so I don't have to listen to the crap anymore.. I thought I needed more range so bad; boy was I mistaken. 100 yards is PERFECT.
platinum Thanks this. -
Your not the only one. Mine wont even turn on anymore. And even when it still did the range was about the truck in front of me or the truck behind me becouse my antenas broke long long ago.
I kinda miss having it for emergancies, but even then not enough to go out and get a new one.Wargames Thanks this. -
You probably missed the fact that the "left lane is closed ahead" and you're the only truck out there when it comes to the merge point. Seriously you don't have to listen to it 24/7 but it's a good tool to have so you don't end up the "tool" not having a clue what's going on in a merge/lane closed situation.
MJ1657, Wargames and hotrod1018 Thank this. -
you haven't missed a thing, i took mine out a loooong time ago. i always get a chuckle when i hear driver's i work with talk puttin the box on their radio and mine's bigger than your's contest's.
Wargames Thanks this. -
I run local, and there are too many drivers I talk to every day passing along information on what lies ahead....I feel lost & alone without it....not to mention, I feel like I'm being rude not responding to the guy who's probably trying to tell me about the cop sitting up the road and a little guilty if I can't let him know about the one I just passed.
Not to mention, most of the places I load or unload have CB's to communicate with the drivers.
It is a tool. As long as it is treated as a tool, it's a mighty useful tool to have. When others decide to treat it like a toy, I reach up & turn 'em off.brianv31, The Admiral, JohnBoy and 9 others Thank this. -
no cb, no flashing the lites or answering someone who did, no atlas, ( i got a GPS, don't care if I just turned onto a soon to become dirt road).
we used to take care of our own. now it's the heck with you I got to the only hot load here.

, so sad.
tracyq144, Wargames and The Admiral Thank this. -
Yeah, I hardly use my CB anymore, too. It's a shame the way things are these days.
Wargames and DrtyDiesel Thank this.
