I'd rather hang up the keys & change careers than to drive a truck with an automatic transmission.

Read on ttr that their getting good fuel milage and easy on a old mans knee and probably makes good business sense-dont know if i'd buy one but thats just my opinion.

have you ever had to pay for fixing one?IGOR-UA Thanks this.

dont have any volvo but never heard for anyone who had any breakdown unless truck was really old
but today no one keep truck for longer than 4-5-6years
here over 95% of all trucks are with automated transmission because they have better overall efficiency and no one wants to drive manual anymore
and it is quite hard to sold truck with manual -
Shifting is part of driving. I like to drive.

The ishift appears to hold up
. Unlike the ultrashift. The freedom
Line did well also.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I shift and freedom shares electronic boards and clutch actuators
But ZF air system is fully WABCO, I-shift got some Knorr Bremse partsIGOR-UA Thanks this. -
I used to think that, however, all new UK trucks at least are autos now and I wouldn't go back to manual. Makes driving so much easier and far more fuel efficient. In 10 years I pretty much guarantee all trucks will be automatic.
