A friend of mine that works for Swift told me that he has hauled these tater loads and that the receiver uses a scooper machine in the trailer to get 'em out. He said it's like mashed potatoes on the trailer floor when they're done.

years ago the maine potatoe guys would run them to nyc in old junk dry vans
so more then one broke in half on the cross bronk
and my shoveling days are behind me -

old dry vans were not meant to have 50000 loose spuds on them going thru the minefield of NYC

i ran into someone that had a load of taters, but the receiver didnt have that machine to empty it, he showed me a pic of them dangling the trailer on a cable by the front, guessing its not from the kingpin but the pic was kinda dark. either way, that thing was lifted into the air from the front so the taters would just roll out

Maybe they have a ramp you drive up at a steep angle then come down in reverse real fast and slam on your brakes real hard...with your trailer doors open, of course
