Pattyj, I was joking about $75 unload assist pay. It's sort of an inside joke among us May drivers, it has to do with plant loads
-
Theres a few of us hauling these potatoes right now. We offload tomorrow morning at 830. Kind of cool how tgey load them. I was waiting for the guy on the little tractor to get lost in an avalanche of falling taters. Lol.

McCain Foods has a "All traffic must stop and check out with guard before leaving" sign at the outgoing lane of the guard shack. Yet when you stop and wait for several minutes for the guard reappear and come check you out, he tells you, "You're good! If you're empty just go! Don't stop, there are cars behind you!"
I find that irrational. -
Cause the mighty four wheelers are so important but next time it'll be a different guard and he'll chew u out for not stopping
-
Clean up is ten times worse in a reefer, gets stuck in the floor. Usually a driver can net himself about 20# of taters for taking home.
No extra charge for the stink

Was back in Othello, WA today getting another load of taters. Good Lord, I've never seen so many potatoes stored in one building in all my life. The guy was loading like 3 trucks an hour.

I got potato flakes I'm delivering there, they said they use it to make chips
