good luck, this company is very small, but is good, just have 2 learn small tricks, and try work hard with ELOGS...if u run solo driver, dont waste ur hours, u can talk directly with the planers n u can choise ur loads, but that company its very good if u lear haow they works....

If you think the truck payments are high, you should go work for Prime. As a matter of fact, the truck payments are comparable (if not lower) than other companies.
I assume that you worked for JCT at 1 point? If so, it isn't the way the lease is set up that made you fail...and if you let it get to the point that you lost your family, then shame on you. -
How much is the truck payment?
-
It varies and has changed over the years, but they lost it at $578.48 on their website.

My husband and I have been with jct for about 90 days now. Have we had issues? Yes. They weren't major ones but I can say they were addressed and we were satisfied with end results. We are happy here and make very decent money. In compared to other teams our dispatcher keeps us going, many times our preplan is sent before we do the final delivery. Two times we have sat but barely a days wait both times. Basically as a team 2500 miles goes toward your payments, above that is yours. I think there are good and bad with any company but just the fact that they actually answer their phones and have friendly attitude when we call is a plus for us, previous employer sucked as far as that goes. Personal opinion here now, I would not recommend for a single driver because of elogs. Coming in we chose a 2012 cascadia and our very happy with it, was pretty much brand new. The internationals I have heard have many probs that are a few years older. Anyway, I hope this helps. Hubby has been out here 14yrs so knows the ropes as far as being screwed over with dispatch or shop issues so that helps. All in all it pays our bills with first check of month and leaves rest of month for savings and what not. How can I complain?
Alanp613 Thanks this. -
meh...I disagree about solo drivers not making money on elogs. I'm averaging right around 2800 miles/wk on elogs. If I push myself, I can run 620 miles/day rather easily at 62-64mph. If they keep me going where I'm doing that, then I'm running 3600+ miles in 6 days, and taking the 7th off for a 34 hour restart. That's all done legally. Is it realistic that they would (or could) run me like that? Probably not, but it can still be done.
My break even for all of my bills (including bills at home) is 2100 miles. Truck and related items...1400 miles. On a slow week in January, I can still bring home a check.Alanp613 Thanks this. -
Did a delievery at the US cold in Turlock, CA on Monday. Geeze, is that place a drop lot for JCT tlrs??
-
I run that 2800 miles every week and I'm home from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. I run GA regional hauling mostly beer, and I am on elogs. If you are averaging 2800 on a normal week, something is wrong. Our over the road trucks are getting more than 3500 per week on elogs. -
They have had me on a FL-NY dedicated since starting with them, so 2800 miles is not bad. It also got me home quite often since I live in FL. Only very recently have I started spreading my wings. Once I transition to full otr, we'll see what happens.
And like you said; your otr drivers are averaging 3500 miles/wk on elogs. That was my original point.
