Just got the news that I'll be going to the Missoula, MT yard for orientation on Monday. I'm excited. This is my 2nd company. 1st one had miserable, dumb trainers that didnt want to train. So hopefully the lack of going out with trainers will give me a better experience.

Hopefully you don't need a trainer as your comment makes it sound like you feel like you do...Best of luck and welcome to the family!!!!!!!!

The only thing I'm concerned about with not having a trainer is my backing, which I know they let you practice to your hearts content in orientation. So I'm sure I'll be fine. Thanks for the reply :)

GOALing is better than a trainer telling you what to do...I'm sure you'll be fine too...

yeah what he said....i used the lot in the evening for practice....its all about the "set up" for the back in..just remember when its time for them to watch you back into a hole,, whether you need to or not Get Out And LOOK, trust me, dont just walk down the side and back, walk ALL the way around the truck....it gets noted!!

    good luck

First day of orientation went well. Fairly boring though since the only training truck is in the shop. We just read out of the books and took some tests. Got our day 1 stipend and all had dinner out. Instructor is a really good guy. All of the staff is great so far. Excited to see what day 2 will bring.

A whole lot of nothing for day 2. Learned about CSA 2010, which we learned in school. Learned about proper loading and then did our physical tests. Did some loops in the really small yard. Really wanting to get back on the road.
