But like danc694u stated it might be that the info is only available to employees, I have not been able to access the info, but then again I'm not hired in the "patch" yet.

It's the employee side of Schneider web site.
You can't access it without a password and employee number. -
could you tell us wht Schneider allows in the truck? invertor? max size? do they charge to put one in? APUs? are they provided and if not can one be put in? what is there policy on idling? do they give you a dedicated dispatch mgr? and about that signon, how is it paid out? and someone said they had an honest recruiter, what is that persons name? i'd like to call and ask the things that are imprtant to both of us.
-
You can use a small one that plugs into the cig lighter. 2-300 watts I believe. But other than that...zippo.
Some trucks (very few) have alternative power source for cooling.
You can idle all you want, you just lose your bonus. Most teams should have no problems.
Can't tell you about dedicated team dispatch manager, or the sign on bonus.
Jerry in West Memphis is as straight shooting as they come, recruiters that is. Not sure if he would speak to you, due to your location. But, I wouldn't expect any of the others to be any less honest/straight forward.
You'll have every opportunity to ask questions during the phone interview, regardless of who you speak to. It's not going to be a simple, "We got your app, come to orientation interview." -
The inverters is correct. I think its 150 watts to be exact. No big ones are allowed. However, we had never had a problem with ppl checking it.. If you goto a OC (operating center) just make sure its unplugged and put away. As far as microwaves and big fridges in the truck, I dont think that would work out.
I did however notice that in both our trucks there was a quick disconnect battery plug behind the drives seat. i never checked to see if it was hooked up to the battery.
You are assigned a DM based on where your home 20 is. I live in indiana so indy was my DM and home OC. He/She is your goto for everything.. They do not find your loads, however. They break down the usa in quarters. And where ever your truck is, that is the dispatcher or load planner that finds your load. you rarely deal with that load finder face to face or on the phone.
when you start off, you are with a "training" DM. Who is good with dealing with "new to schneider" problems, etc. Then when you get going, you get to your perminate DM.
Your milage is starts off low when you first start off. To get you used to the schneider way and teaming. however when you prove that you got everything down, they have no problem bumping you up. When you get to the the elite expediated status, you get priority loads and help becase you are running hot and high value loads. Most miles for those that run hard.
great company.tna Thanks this. -
thank u very much. wea ppreciate your honesty
-
am i missing something? you team so you can run harder longer but dont have microwaves tvs refrigerators to stay comfortable longer???????
-
No your not missing anything, it doesn't make sense to me either. There's the right way, the wrong way, and then there is the Schneider way.
Don't try to figure it out, you'll just hurt your head.tna Thanks this. -
each to thier own but i can barely stand myself by myself sometimes i turn cb stereo and phone all off. i sleep in a truck that isnt moving and i have an apu 2500 watt inverter a kw frig and microwave and tv. Everytime i am disgusted with my lot in life i start looking at other trucks first i look and see if they have an apu then i calm down and realize i really have what i want except to be me on the other end of the phone call from dispatch
