I ran team on the home depot dedicated account back in 2010...

I was home from about noon or so on friday and left sunday night (denver based). Pay, $680-780 after taxes and expenses weekly. Miles - 530-580 daily. Its pretty much same thing every day, over and over... Went thru two partners till I (kindof) found a good match... sometimes I felt like choking him but that's team running. I've heard about guys going thru 6-9 partners, its not for most people. Sleeping in the truck while its moving, sucks... but you get use to it with ear plugs and some respect for each other - handling the fuel cap with fueling like an egg and not hitting it, avoiding pot holes, etc. After nine months I gave it up...

 

The inverter rule is to keep people from hotwiring the inverter into the battery or fuse box the wrong way and causing a fire in the cab. I feel that if you are descrete you can run an inverter to power a tv and small electronics. They make good 12v cooler/fridges out there and they even make a 12v microwave. Most T/S's have microwaves and all of SNI's OC's have them..

They also have a "no cell phone" policy as well. Regardless of blue-tooth or not. Just one of those things you need to be careful about. If you get into an accident, you could get into 2x trouble when they find out your on your cell.

As it is, with any company driver position, you play by their rules or go somewhere else. Lots of companies to chose from.

There is a no flip-flop policy as well at schneider..

I have a 300 watt 12v plug in converter. I only use it to charge my laptop when I watch movies so I keep it in the shelf while not using it. For whatever reason, in both trucks I've had it only works in the bunk plug. On all the other plugs it goes on and off.

 

LMAO. I wasn't even in the neighborhood.

I thought you might be referring to flip flopping from regional to OTR back to regional or something else.

 

Bunk plug is only one not in the shut down loop. Or so says the recent handout on the Cascadia's regarding the use of 12 volt Cpap machines.

 

LOL, that's what I was thinking too! I came from CA and it's illegal to drive with anything that isn't fastened to your foot. Slip-on shoes are OK, but definitely not flip-flops!
