Does anybody know what it means when a DM (dispatcher) says they will T-Call you when you get close to your destination? I always assumed this meant show me at the receiver even though I might be 100 miles away.

Terminal Call.
It is where you go into a company terminal & drop your trailer for another truck & you take a different trailer from there.Dewey120 Thanks this. -
Well, in my wee bit of experience a T-call means to drop your trailer where ever it's scheduled too. Could be a terminal, rail yard, drop yard or where ever, mainly because of location and/or the delivery date how ever there are other reasons.
Can you run in Mexico or Canada? Do u want to sit for days on a load?Dewey120 Thanks this. -
Thats true, however, you obviously haven't worked at C. R. England, so until you know what hes talking about ####. Thanks. If your corporate employee we also know you don't know anything either. Thanks. Now take your comments that make no sense and GTFO.
While it is the technical fault of the driver for violating the HOS rules and laws. The carrier [C. R. England] has some part of the blame maybe somewhere around 50%, maybe it could have something to do with the dm's that have no brains, that give loads to there drivers that, as the driver knows that he is a solo, but gets a load with the time frame of a team. So maybe you enjoy getting many log violations for a company full of bull!@#$ and enjoy ripping off other people on the lease fleece program.
So until you can tell me you want to sign a 3 year lease with C. R. England go through the 3+ months of trainers that know nothing even when you have more experiecne then the trainer that your stuck with that is good at yelling and if you want to lie to my face and say the lease fleece is a progam that they did to actually "help" drivers "earn" more money. Then come back and argue with me some more. Thanks just my 2 cents, o wait i only have 1 cent cause my its my "fault" for not running my business that was designed to fail. Thanks for you comment thought I just think you should research, even the wikipage knows more then you.

The jokes on you, "joker". For example C. R. England has the slowest speed trucks (60 mph) and has a terrible CSA score as far as speeding tickets. So if you want to go do some more research and come back, then come tell me, that you like c r england. Maybe you believe C. R. Englands lies on there website and thought they were telling the truth, "up to 50 cents a mile for company drivers, up to 1.50 a mile for o/o." yes thats not a lie, but is that not misleading? everyone i talked to makes about 1/2 that if anything is left over at it goes through the payroll department.
Maybe you enjoy being responsible for the truck repairs, maybe you really love training the other drivers, just to make more money.
Well until you realize that they can make you work 70 hours of driving and on duty jobs and then an additonal 10 hours lumping a load in an 8 day period i suggest you read what i said again but more carefully about "the joke is on you."

Enough until people, like you, finally come to the realization that companies that are "always hiring" are always hiring because people are ALWAYS quitting.

All this from a rookie? ROFLMFAOACGU!
Dude! YES you CAN tell any company puke to stuff the load because you can't get it there and that you refuse to violate the HOS! That Qualcomm will tell no lies! A half way stupid lawyer can win that case with his hands tied behind his back! Just because CRE is a mormon owned company does NOT mean they are bullet proof as those of us who have been around the block have seen!
But tell me to violate HOS and these grey whiskers will tell a company owner/college boy where to stuff his keyboard! No one is bad enough to hold a gun to my head and make me drive over those hours and I darn sure am NOT killing myself or anyone else for whats in a trailer behind my bunk! I sleep when tired and drive the rest and when that 14 is hit well I do find that bunk with the q-comm hanging out the window!
As the old saying goes "I was looking for a job when I got this one and I'll find another when this one ends" BUT I know who to drive for and I even know how to research ones I haven't heard of!
Besides those are YOUR points and not worth getting because they are now also your way to lose your livelihood' because you let a moron tell you what to do that's against the law!NYROADIE Thanks this. -
we are all responsible for everything we do. right down to reading threads that annoy us
AfterShock Thanks this. -
The majority of the people that I speak with that think they are being "forced" to run illegal do not understand the HOS. Please educated yourself by reading the regs, don't talk to that guy in the drivers lounge.
