Right after I got on my miles dropped. But that was when freight started to slow down so it wasn't entirely workflows fault. The last couple weeks things have been picking up and I've been getting decent miles, except for a few loads with ridiculous appointments that tend to screw up my miles.

Hey guys, just wondering what kind of miles your getting now. Is WorkSlow getting any better? Has it hurt your miles significantly or is it mainly just a pain in the butt? I know I read recently someone complain that they sit 6 to 12 hours in between loads now because of the WorkSlow problems. Id be complaining too. Are all of you guys experiencing problems? Freight should be booming now, things looking up?

Good to see things are getting better for you. Just curious about what you consider decent miles? Are you getting 3,000 a week?

I consider 2000-2500 a decent week, 2500-3000 a good week, 3000+ a great week, the last couple months I've been only getting 2000-2500 mile weeks. The last couple weeks before I took 6 days of tah I could have had 3000+ mile weeks but kept getting stuck with loads with appointments that kept me sitting over the weekend, usually 2-3 days.

If you want good miles, don't be complacent. I tell my dbl I like to take it easy, 300+ miles a day, 2100 a week is fine with me, I'm not one to call every day bugging about miles.

..... I only get 1400-1800 for 2 months. So now its call, #####, moan, just to get a decent paycheck.

Last week's check was only $260, I don't even want to see the actual miles.

If I'm ort 3-4 weeks out at a shot, and I'm not getting 3000 miles a week minimum I'm jumping ship.

I don't care what time of year or where, 3k a week is a reasonable expectation for an otr driver that wants to work.

I agree, I'm not living in a truck to hang out at the truckstops, I'm there to work and stay busy. I can live with 2500 but prefer to be closer to 3000 or more. I don't think that's too much to ask, it's only 430 miles a day. I know there are good and bad days/weeks but as long as I can average 2700 or so, I'm good.

Well, lets just say over the last 7 days I had 2500, and I was aggrivated. Personally, if I'm out 7 days in a row, anything less than 3000 miles is despicable. I understand that there are slow times, but I expect at least 3000 actual miles for a 7 day period (obviously, paid miles will be around 2800-2850 in that instance). And for the most part, I do get 3000.

However, Tuesday for example, I had a whopping 200 miles total for 14 hours because they dumped a 110 mile load on me that picked up at 11am but didn't deliver til 5pm. Well, I got to the deliver at 2:45 and had to sit and wait until 5pm to get unloaded, and then didn't get out of there until 7pm.

Then the next load they sent me didn't pick up until the next morning when I had 4 hours left to run. That load doesn't deliver until midnight tonight, basically 40 hours to drive 900 miles. Well, got here at 1pm, so I'm sitting here for a 10 hour break, reset, going to the delivery, sit through a 2-3 hour unload, get back to the OC here, and then take another 10 hour break cause I'm not running overnight since I've been up since 7am.

So basically, as long as you complain enough, but not too much as to annoy the entire department with your whining, you can get 3000 miles a week if you stay on it. If you don't say anything, you'll get the big screw because the nameless and faceless trip planners in Green Bay don't care what kind of miles you get or what your paycheck is. Those concerns are what your DBL is for.

I'm good with everything you said, including the occasional 2500 mile week, and getting "stuck" with only 900 miles in 40 hours. It happens, it's part of trucking, but even 900 miles in 48 hours is good. That averages out to 3100 miles in a week. I understand your frustration with 2500 but if that is the exception instead of the rule thats pretty good. I'll take it.

I'm glad to hear you average 3000 a week, I definitley would like to do the same.
