Yes to the nc not sure how much but I've been there. As for miles if I mention them being to low they run me harder but honestly I like being able to recap hours. I make good money and don't need 3k a week. Plus I'm looking at the length of my lease and length of warranty. I would ideally like to pay the truck off around the same time it expires rather then it expire while I still have a payment. Just my thoughts on it. And some weeks it's just luck of the draw on miles. Like the week after my home time I wanted a bigger week to offset the income loss but had crappy loads and didn't get but 2300 or so.

ACT does have freight out of NC,but they don't hire drivers from there because they can't get you home.I had a guy ask me about ACT and I checked and that's what they told me.

You pay that yourself this isn't a company job you get a 1099 at the end of the year. I put aside 20% of everything I make even though with per diem and write offs I won't owe near that much.

Does your 900+ per week over the past six weeks include fuel costs or fuel surcharge? Just trying to get a feel for your costs and profitability

Just to answer your question,no we don't go to Florida and won't hire out of there.Atlanta is as far south as ACT goes and does hire driver's from there.

Thanks Kujo. Gotta say your philosophy on warranty and lease expiration sounds pretty well thought out. Nice! Bottom line if you can do that and still be happy with your net income, more power to you brother.
