Prime Training

These big customers deal with a lot of trucks a day. You think one POd driver is going to make them move faster? Give better service? Keep dreaming. Give enough attitude and you wont have to worry about going back, EVER. Get impatient and dont follow their rules... WONT GO BACK. Prime would love that...

 

Get too many of THOSE and Prime will pull you back into SpringMo and give you a ride to the bus station. Probably w/o a ticket home.

LOL,,, I'll take your side, their rude, ugly, and their Momma dresses them funny.. Couple years ago the Old Smith System Instructor was throwing Chairs out of his vehicle in the parking lot screaming at Security..... I'm waiting for the old guys to flip. Note to all students keep up the pressure on the old guys, I'm waiting patiently....

I try to make my time with customers as pleasant as possible. If your going to be there a while I would rather have some friendly conversation than sit in my truck for 8 hours pissed off.

 

Thats what Ive done several times. Talked with one guy for over 6 hours.... nice guy.

I don't know if you have noticed or not but a lot of people that are willing to talk to you for a while are more interested in the trucking industry than you are. I had one guy want to know how to get in it and how I started and wanted to look in my truck and see what it was like etc. I was the same way when I was a young teenager working for a retail store.
