Well what more could i add. Ive been driving for twenty four years, the last year at mcleod. First few months were great i had jay as my dispatcher. This is a man that takes care of his hard working drivers. They unfortunately put him on nights amd got stuck with gail. Now she is a new dispatcher so this explains the lack of skill or knowledge coming from her. But everyone needs to learn somewhere but i dont want a new heart surgeon practicing on me and i also dont want a new dispatcher learning on me. I tried to get switched to londa but jason would not allow it. This man is dispatch supervisor and this man has no idea who it is that makes a company thrive and jas a nasty attitude. Went over his head to alan cox amd got jist what i wanted in a matter of minutes. With jason running the show even things u are supposed to get paid for directly from the company handbook u may be looking at are rejected by jason. The 800 dollar a week gaurantee is a joke. They find every way they can to take this from u. I am always on time with my loads but they still find ways to take the money from u. My last three paychecks bringhome only came to less than 800 dollars total. Now i am no job hopper and tried every avenue i could to make it work with mcleod but i do have bills to pay so yesterday i gave my two week notice. So for anyone wantimg to work for them be preparred to be treated like a second class citizen that should work for little or nothing.

I have gone through about three gallons of oil in foir days from a major oil leak, my drivers side window has a huge crack and leaks badly, the regen doesnt work, and my apu works when it wants to yet after several calls to rachel in the shop they keep saying they will get to it later. How do u as a professional experienced driver have pride in taking carebof ur ride if the company doesnt even care for there own equipment. The only drivers that seem to get something done around here are the butt kissers. I talked to one driver that bought his dispatcher a christmas gift as kinda a bribe to be on her good side, well i am always on time and never have had an accident so if that isnt enough then they need new people. Now my dispatcher, londa is awesome but this poor woman cant care for her drivers like she wants when u have supervisors like jason trumping everything she does. Bottom line is they need more people like her but instead have to many gails, jasons, and everyone above them not caring at all about the welfare of there drivers. And weekends off, well thats fine if u wanna bring home 500 a week. The only way an experienced driver would want to be employed here is if u were willing to kiss a lot of butt which i am not. They dont have such a high turnover rate for such a small company because they are terrific. Seems like every week im in the office sokeone is quiting. I tried to make it work but between shop not caring for there equipment and management trying to screw u out every dime they can i had to give my notice to quit. And there are greener pastures, way greener than mcleods dirty pastures.

Well finished my last day with mcleod and am moving on with mbm. Good luck to all the mcleod drivers. I did grow some as a person after being here two years. No matter good or bad experience personal growth is the biggest thing in ones life.

Well i to am a mcleod driver from liberty,ky. Like oakraid. I have had the typical problems with this company, just as i have had with other companies. But at least with mcleod if u address it in a lrofessional manner it will het resolved. As far as the gaurantee not being legit well i can tell u it is very real. I have been here right at a years on the only times i lost my gaurantee was on one of the foir holodays that they domt pay u for and that becaise ur sitting at home. Other tjan that is all u gotta do is be on time. Sounds pretty easy to me but time in and time oit ive seen to many drivers complain aboit not hetting there gaurantee then myself and two others will leave with a fresh start for the day and all three of us having same appointment times in edwardsville,il. And p& g and i roll in about a half our early and they show up fifteen minutes late. Its like duh thats exactly why u get ur garantee taken. All im saying is the younger generation drivers now dont seem to jave the same work ethic as my generation. They can keep whining and job hoping but it will always be the same as long as they like to goof around. This isnt a cross country vacation people its a job. Now all that being said i gave my notice about a week ago because of family problems and money issues but nothing at all to do with mcleod. Are the some people at mcleod i dont really like to deal with, yeah but a lot of them are some of our other ignorqnt drivers. Really considering staying if i can fox this family situation because mcleods been great to me from the start. So in the end if ya stop whining and do ur job and realize everyday out here aint gonna be peachy, and thats with any tricking company than u will be a much happier and more productive driver. God bless all and be safe.

I have read threads that people say Mcleod treats them like second class citizens, well if you dont want to be treated like a 2nd class person dont act like one. I have to agree with another thread..its a job .not a entiltement charity for drivers. So grow up.If thetruck needs maintainence..get it fixed ..quit crying like 3rd graders. I never ever ever had a problem gettting truck or a trailer tire fixed or anything as a matter of fact. It all comes back to being an adult and acting like a professional driver..Thanks again for all the real truckers out there making America great. For all the steering wheel holders..move on to dominoes pizza. Mclowns(know by ex employees) cant be to bad ..I made more money in 6 months than I did with Westside transport in 6 months or Celadon trucking in 9 months(just a 6 month example for all you people in La La land).lmao

mcleod is a joke. They lied to get me in the door and keeps the lies going still yet. I drive local. No overtime all straight pay. They don't care at all about the driver. Holidays are a must to work with no extra pay. Just last week mcleod had a cook out for the office people but didn't say crap to the drivers about it. Trust me I am out of Mcleod just as I find a new job. I would never recomend this company to anyone. Mcleod has left such a bad taste in my mouth I may just quit driving all together. I could go on and on but whats the point. Mr. Mcleod only cares about the money and not the people that make it for him. I left a great company to join the Mcleod team granted I wanted to be home everyday so I thought I was making a good decision boy was I wrong. I just wish I would of found this site before I even called Mcleod. Cuz if I had I never would of made the mistake and called.
