Looking at CRST for cdl training

Hey and thank to any responses or help I can get. I am currently looking at CRST Expedited for the cdl training program for my 8 month commitment to drive for them. i dont care about the 8 month time frame dont care about really anything. my deal is this i am 41 i have been laid off or been with a company that has closed in my last 3 jobs. it has been 8 months since i last worked and i am going crazy. i have an associates degree i am not stupid but there just isnt any jobs locally worth having or lets say a job that i can live on. i dont need fancy things i just want to live a simple life and for 2 years i have been looking into the trucking industry. i am now ready to jump I spoke with i guess a recruiter y-day and i filled out an application for CRST expedited to train me for cdl. I would like to hear from any and all the good the bad the ugly thanks guys

thanks to all of yall that responded I am scheduled to start at MCT school in missouri the day after memorial day, I am looking foerward to it as I also have a realistic view and in my eyes I will gladly drive for 8 months in exchange for schooling and getting my cdl thanks to all of yall
