    Why would you want to work for an O/O? Most will not pay you what you are worth and then want to illegaly run you as an independent contractor, paid on a 1099. Leaving you with no unemployment insurance, no workman's comp insurance and no matching SS or Medicare matching funds.
    Get a real driving job at a bonafide company. I know there are plenty of private carriers in Michigan, like Ford, Chrysler and GM plus places like beer distributors, food processors, etc.
    Going to work for most O/Os is just asking for trouble. You would be better off with a company like Swift or Werner.

    I actually worked for O/O had all the bells and whistles and I was his only driver. I got a weeks vacation every six months got unemployment when Truck was down for a month due to it being hit while it was parked getting repaired for blown Turbo. Dude was really cool. I know not many of those around anymore most just see $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and make ya run Illegal yes Everyone one has ran illegal atleast once due to somthing or just couldnt sleep.
