no you'll get into base it is just time consuming to get on...especially in the mornings...hopefully your appointment time is after 9 and before noon...(gates are busiest before and after...) driving on base should not be a problem...most installations roads are nice and wide...if you don't know where your going stop and ask someone in uniform...they should know..... and don't SPEED or be on your phone while driving...it drives MPs nuts and they love writing tickets....LOL

Sitting here at walmart in Whitehall, PA for a 10 hour break and after being once again promised by dispatch that they will get me a load to a terminal to get the AC fixed in this freakin truck from PA I recieved a preplan for a 300 mile load that picksup at 0600 and delivers at 0015...Another wasted day is what tomorrow will be. Guess I made someone mad cause this is back to back bad weeks...Shoot only had 46 hours total for the past 7 days!

6.5 inches of rain by Flint, MI overnight. Flooding and shutdown interstates all over the place. Fun times.

Not mad at you, you just need a terminal so now you won't get to one. If you didn't actually NEED to be at one, then you would get there all the time. Just the way it goes sometimes.

I guess I should have mentioned its the Truck AC that is used when it's running. APU AC works good. Just tired of sweating constantly while driving and what not. And yes TheTank that is entirely true. I normally go by the Gary Terminal AT LEAST 1 if not 2 times everytime I'm out. Now I'm up here sitting at this Sams Club in Newington, CT waiting for my 0015 appoinment to be unloaded then I start my day at 2-3am tomorrow to pick up a load in New Jersey and deliver it in Indiana by Sunday at 0600...I guess I should look at the bright side, this city has 4g internet so DSL speed internet till i leave :).

So 1st stop on the Hon load in lumberton NC I had to back in off the road. Once it was done I went to the base. Directions were vague getting in. Nice in tight in the Hood, once arrived would've been nice to have a load comment or something to say I need my license, registration, and proof of insurance, so I had to weave in and out of the guard gate, turned around got my stuff in order. Once I got my escort and papers, inspection went easy they were cool. Drove to the place and it was tight. Tandems were up on A as it is, didn't have enough room on turns and backing in to there outside dock. Lady gave me the wrong directions out, got lost, ask somebody and left. Now in Richmond VA at God awful Kraft waiting on my plt which will be done by the time I run out of hours. Yay! Plenty of time on this load and has good miles is the plus side. One of those places where u want to get in and get out as quickly as possible days where nothing is in your favor. Oh well tomorrow is a different relaxing interstate driving day.

Well I am at back where I started my day, the TA in Hudson, WI. I only had 4.5 hours to work with today. So I spent it going to the dropyard in St. Paul Park to pick up a trailer that was sold to get it loaded, so it could be taken to Wabash after it gets unloaded. Before it could be loaded I had to get it resealed because nobody noticed that thing leaked. Anyway I got loaded and I am headed to the Big House to relay this load and to get a PM done on the truck.
