Quick Books Pro is what I use.

thanks... did you make your own chart of accounts?

I use the list of accounts provided and added any that I need. I previously used sage, for me quickbooks is easier to navigate.

It will ask you when you install the software what type of business you are running and provide a chart of accounts accordingly.

You got that right !
Quickbooks is probably the best solution but doing your own accounting is tough at the best of times. I tried so hard to do my company books with it but I finally came to the conclusion I was not cut out for it. It might seem like a lot of money but paying an accountant a grand for doing it right pays off in the long run I think.
Perhaps you could hire an accountant and ask them to help you grow into using Quickbooks. If you are lucky they might accommodate you.
