I think it is like any company... I met a lot of Swift drivers that were happy and always tried to get "other" drivers to come over to their company.. Hey Schneider driver come over to Swift its better here... Hey Swift driver come over to Schneider its better here.. Of course I think it has a lot to do with that driver sign on bonus too..lol You are going to have happy ones and ones not happy. Personally I think the "BIG" companies dont really care about anything but making money... Thats how they got BIG.
Swift... Don't go there!!

I think alot depends on you if you'll do good with a company. They like runners, not someone that takes brakes all the time, whines ect.Your logs are checked by more then just the log dept.Dispatchers look at your logs and if they like what they see, you'll get more miles. But if you can't drive your full available hrs well your dispatcher will give you shorter miles. You have to prove yourself to your dispatcher and your company.

A lot of us started the same way, but we stuck it out, got our experience and then moved onto something better. Too many people want the easy way to everything. You are not owed anything. They took you with no experience and trained you for a career that will always be in demand. What did you do for them? I get so tired of this kind of whining. Do you think it was easy for the drivers that came before you? Yes, I know it can be very tough when you are first starting out because I did it, but please don't rant because you didn't practice due diligence.
RockyWI, JiujitsuTrucker and Vista Cruiser Thank this. -
How do you "join" a company? Isn't it a job you have to get "hired" to?

40/mile is what ya get when ya pay your dues... But if your dues are paid you have the option of finding somewhere else if ya like... There are tons and tons of job openings for driver with 2 or more years of recent experance... But limited openings for people who don't know the difference between a T/T and a 28' LtL. Where else can you make more than 30000/year with only one month training? If you can't start a job with the income level expected, maybe ya should start cutting the fat and look in the mirror...
