Thank you for your honesty. I wish you the best.
You are correct on flatbeding so far this year I'm at $.51 per mile with all pays figured in but it's a lot of hard work.
I think your business plan will work out great for you. Too many people think owning a truck is the same as driving one.

No we don't go that far west although I wish we did some.
-
No. We don't even run out there. I wish we did though because with home prices out there right now I would buy one in a heartbeat and move there myself.
-
As to the "health insurance" I was quoted.
Family Medical, dental and vision. I am court ordered to provide that along with child support.
Term Life $400,000, Long and short term disability for me.
Does your $750 cover all that? -
I carry the life insurance on myself to provide for my daughters should something happen to me.
The long and short term disability as well because when self-employed, how or who is going to cover for you while you are out of work.
Neither of those are court order.
Just the Family Medical, dental and vision. -
My husband was divorced in FL and they ORDERED him to carry life ins making HER the bennie until the kid turned 18.

Ouch that's rough.

Kujo,
So the $439 payment for what? there seems to be a lot of "service" payments. -
Which week are you looking at? It's most likely fuel and the service fee of .90 cents is for the Comdata card. We get charged that to use their card and get their discount on fuel. And at .90 pet transaction their card usually saves me $15-30 per fill up so I can live with paying less then a dollar to save thirty.truckerim2055 Thanks this.
