Well to see for myself I tied the ends of my whips over and talk to the same people I talk to every day without saying a word. Ranging from 43 miles to 3 miles I ask for radio checks in both positions from 7 different people with a better reading buy them all but 2 on bent over believe it or not. The 2 others said I was the same! No change! I have takin pics and a 15 min Video gate I am posting on You tube.

Thats like saying a inverted V wont work because its bent or a dipole wont work because its run at a 90,60 or 45 degree!! Wait wait wait! I know what it is! Everyone in the ham and cb community is wrong and your right! All these antennas being sold are non working units and these companies have made millions of of junk that just wont work by your standards. Im so sorry man. Your right!

What does that have to do with a imax200 ?????

I have run inverted V and L and others .... a dipole streched out flat will win every time ...

Even my Wilson 5000 will flex enough and get close to the stacks on the highway and cause issues. That is why it is bulled horned just slightly to keep it away from the stacks.

Well yes. Any time an antenna gets close to metal there is a problem. This isnt the question in hand. The question is weather or not it can be pulled over and work. The wave length of the antenna alone indicates swr! If its to long or to short it may show a bad SWR. If I pull it over while keeping it away fromanything that may cause a SWR problem the length stays the same thus the SWR stays the same. It will still radiate on every direction and work as it should. The radiation pattern may take the shape of a horizontal antenna other than a vertical but it will still radiate like an antenna either way. This really isnt a problem unless you have it mounted on the top of your truck. I have used these on all my trucks for many years with no problems. Sure I hit things hear and there. All antennas have a mass and will come into connection with something at some time in there lives. Just the way it is. Good thing a 102" whip only cost $35.00. I have cut birds in half several times.
