Just because I always like tibsay I post everything and not just the negative, they sent me a preplan for a 600 mile run this can roll and deliver early. Although I am happy about that, I had to sit for almost 3 hours to get a load that was ready at 7:45 this morning? Ah well. At least im outa that #### Brooks yard finally!![]()

I constantly get loads that were ready before I was dispatched dispute being empty and ready to roll. Doesn't make any sense, but I'm not logistics. It is not for me to question why, it is but for me to do it and shut the heck up.

I get many preplans that are for preloads that were ready hours or days before I get them.
If it works for them, it works for me.... no time spent waiting for a shipper to load you on those.FXDLTRUCKA98 Thanks this. -
No good run goes unpunished I guess... Looks like that good run hurt me. I dropped it off in time yesterday with almost a full clock. The load I got was 2.5 hours away, and wouldn't be ready for 16 hours. Then the delivery is less than an hour away and they wont open until 8am Monday.
I know I've got to take the good with the bad,and I know everyone says local hourly driving jobs don't pay much, but with runs like this Im starting to think that maybe it might end up the same. I dunno. Guess I just need to suck it up and give it until my 6next month mark at least. -
Everyone's perspective is different. Florabama was excited by the 600 mile run he got the other day. I've been running the 48 since I started at May and would consider anything under a 1200 mile run disappointing. My starting runs out of Brooks after hometime are over 2500 miles regulary. Which is why I would never run the 11 western states.

That's my eventual goal. I k ow more than likely I'll need at least one full year of experience. But I've got some friends that were taken on with 3-6the months. Granted its not as much but at least they have something to work towards. Plus I figure if I font check with them, I SURELY won't get hired.

I talked to my DM about it and he advised me to stay in the Western 11 because if I went 48 I would end up with short runs up and down the east coast with an occasional trip with good miles either coming or going.
And as far as thinking anything over 600 miles is good. ... This is my 3rd month and I've only seen 1that run over 1000 miles and that still wasn't over the 1200 mark. When I asked if I had done something wrong to get the short runs he told me no, that I was always early and without any problems. Im starting to smell something fishy...... -
On it daily!

However only ones I've run across in my area require 1a yr minimum before being considered. Im going to try the waste managements and local utility companies as well.
