Its all good my friend. When you have someone telling you wrong that you have learned through time may know something about radios and antennas, its easy to have doubt in a newcomer. I promise I wouldnt tell anyone something I didnt know for sure was a true fact. If I can reach 1 person with the right info in my lifetime I have done some kind of good. If anything I hope I have helped you. Maybe next time we wont have to dwell on the same subject and we can move on to something more interesting in the world of CB. Have a great evening my friend.

What makes you think I was complaining? I was just making reference to your false belief that it it legal to use the "freebands" for hobby communications. As a member of the LV group you should follow their "Golden Rule".I'm sure if you email Sjack (19LV001) or Scott (2LV412) they will tell you the same as we have, that it is illegal (except in the UK operating within their 27/81 band).

BTW I have and use plenty of radios that will operate there, I have over 200 divisions worked and close to 200 confirmed by QSL.

I have my Tech class Ham license! I dont use my numbers for CB band tho. This is how I know that CVB guys can use almost any 10 meter Freq other than what is set for 10 meters.I have sat and listened to the old timers piss and moan about how they had to study and work to get where they are and now they can drop down 10kc's and hear a CB guy talking and there is nothing they can do about it. Also there are many posts from cb guys praising the radio because they could now buy a radio with these channels in it and actually use them. I am in a Radio Club that is actually called LV and is based on free Band channels. There are free band clubs all over the world!

Sure there are many freeband groups and 1000's of freebanders but that does not make freebanding legal.

ONE THING AT A TIME ....

" I have my Tech class Ham license! I dint use my numbers for CB band tho. This is how I know that CVB guys can use almost any 10 meter Freq other than what is set for 10 meters "

:biggrin_2556: If its OTHER than 10 meters it's NOT 10 meters... It is NOT ILLEGAL to use your ham call on CB just stupid

" .I have sat and listened to the old timers piss and moan about how they had to study and work to get where they are and now they can drop down 10kc's and hear a CB guy talking and there is nothing they can do about it."

:biggrin_25510: Listen Sunny ..... Back when I got my tech license we passed a 1,000 question test , We had to build a 10,000 watt transmitter from scrap and took the code at 100 WPM ... Or some noncense like that ..... WE AGREE some people are not happy with the new tests ....

" Also there are many posts from cb guys praising the radio because they could now buy a radio with these channels in it and actually use them "

Goes to prove just how missinformed some people are ......
